This was great, loved it! How very interesting, all of this interview. I adventured as a little kid. I was caught riding a rancher's horses. The rancher's daughter caught me, it turns out she was my Sunday school teacher. I could keep riding, but I had to complete chores around the stables. I enlisted right out of high school; Army, Infantry, Airborne, Vietnam. My parents were both WWII vets. I've done adventure races all over the world, many of them with my son and some with my daughter. I've done the Everglades Challenge twelve times with my son. We are blessed to say, we've finished every time. I work out just about everyday, love kettlebells, love walking. The Everglades Challenge will always be central in my memories of great memories. Chief created a wonderful event.

Thank You. I just noticed that my boat was in your 2020 Everglades Challenge beach walk video at 31:50. I have the yellow TI with the blue flag & square knot flying above it. I just returned from participating in the 2023 Everglades Challenge in that same boat. The Florida Bay was nice for this trip.

@@brettthomas7279 Thanks for the comment. I am in the Keys currently. Sailed up from Plantation Key to Key Largo Buttonwood Bay and pulled into the EC 2023 finish line on Sunday and was able to speak with a few of the TI sailors who were packing up their gear. I hope to post a few interesting videos in the days to come. Stay tuned and keep the videos / interviews coming. Perhaps our paths will cross some day! Currently sailing a new 2022 TI fitted out for offshore sailing.... including a 2.5 hp Suzuki outboard....never leave home without it ;-)

The event..... We do... I require... Our people.... Must have........ The rules are....... But it is super expensive to anticipate. Classified as "not supported" event. Seems like a conflict of interest right there.
