Teme Singleton is drilling a well in Folsom Louisiana, we show the complete process of drilling, setting casing and blowing out the well.
This is part 2 of the first video not starting off where we left off but a few months later and a different well. We finished drilling the well to a depth of 110 feet. After tripping out the drill pipe "took 12 mins" we sett the casing at 97-107 feet with a 10 ft. screen. Then we airlift the well to clean out the mud from drilling and develop the well. We cleaned up the area and packed everything up to move the rig off the well so it can be grouted.
For you music lovers out there, listen to a heavy bass hit about every second throughout most of this video!
Thanks for watching if you watched all the way to the end you will see water well drilling from start to finish.

Good video that brings back memories. My family drilled wells for 3 generations. I drilled in the 80’s and 90’s with a Quickdrill in SC and did it just like this. I spent many days over a mud pan. Learned how to work like a man, learned a lot about life, and made some good wells that are still pumping water. My dad always said, “If it takes water, it will make water.” The best producing wells are hard to keep a good circulation once you get into that good water sand. About the only difference we did was my dad wouldn’t let us blow the wells with air. He made us pump them all off. Was just his way of doing it and he wouldn’t change. I’m sure you’re wondering… yes I broke tradition and didn’t follow in the footsteps of a well driller. City and county water systems started in the 90’s and made it hard to make a living drilling wells in our area. So I followed another dream, but thankful for my time drilling wells. Thanks for a great video that captured the full experience.

@@ClearWaterPumpWell They stopped us from drilling wells in the city limits for consumption. We drilled some for irrigation. Then they started county water systems and that really hurt. In addition, we were located on the fault line so part of our region was rock wells, therefore we had to have a mud rig and an air rig. It became impossible to have both with the limited number of wells being drilled. Gotta say it was hard for me to end the family legacy of being well drillers. I started running a mud rig when I was 14. Got my certification when I was 16. It was good times that I wouldn't trade for anything. Would love to drill just one more well with my dad, but he's long gone. Your video this morning was great for me to watch. I'm sure I see it differently than others. I know exactly what you were feeling when you were getting nervous about reading that sand and it caving in on you. That's what made the job exciting. I hope your business holds strong my friend!

I'm working on some basic airlifting for wells right now then I'm planning on doing an overview of our new Pulstar P10000 once we get it finished up. My airlifting videos are 75% of my views right now so I want to expand on that. I may do another drilling video before too long. I'm kicking around getting a helmet cam, but haven't yet.

Kenny Kemp Sounds good, Teme has talked me into getting my license now! I just need a license to be more flexible I can't even take water samples anymore and iv been doing it for 20 years. Then he tells me he has the perfect starter rig out in his field to rebuild. I think I'm going to do a video on this thing it's going to be a job! Thanks and take it easy. Casey

Soon we will be doing that very thing, Teme has encouraged me to get my drilling license . Were going to be rebuilding a old rig that's sitting in his field. This rig is probably 50-60 years old and in very bad need of repair. We are going to get started on it during the winters slow season. Im going to document the entire rebuild from the ground up, including upgrades and other improvements. Thanks for comment, Casey

@@ClearWaterPumpWell Nothing wrong with them old rigs as long as they're maintained they're awesome lot of the work off friction drums for the main line and sand line. I made a lot of money in my day running an old rig. And some people would chuckle when they seen that old rig but when I was pullin out 5 to 7 hours later and I had 75 to 120 foot well they always say, by golly that's a heck of a rig don't look like much but it sure does the job!!!

How can you get any gravel pack down if you’ve got that rubber boot?
@ClearWaterPumpWell
@ClearWaterPumpWell 3 жыл бұрын
Please pay attention to the video you would know that gravel packing the well in this part of the country is unnecessary. The well strata and water bearing sand is gravel! It caves in around the screen to complete and develop the well. The boot is only to prevent clays and grout from getting below when developing the well.

hi, i was wondering where you get your drilling pipe and what size and thickness is it? I was also wondering if the threads are standard or of a special thread? Most people in the pipe industry tell me that the radial force in torque for drilling pipe is 5000 lbs/inch. I am not sure about that at this point. Lastly, I am especially interested in where you get your drill bit heads? I think thats a very unique design, I really like it. Do you know what they call that drill bit head design, what name that it is given by the industry?

What is the little tube and reducer on the bottom of the screen?
@ClearWaterPumpWell

That is a Backwash Valve, it's used to allow pipe to fill with water and be blown out when set at the bottom. When the water flow stops down the casing the valve closes and prevents sand or gravel from getting inside casing.

@@ClearWaterPumpWell how does flushing with this grout pump compare with using a compressor? What diameter is your water course on your drilling pipes? Teme built that himself. He redesigned his original rig with a single deck motor running everything, increased the size of the mud pump, and generally beefed everything up. He has it set up to be run by one man. I’ve seen him drill a 4” well 120’ and set the casing by himself using this rig.

Yea and what if he could drill deeper there is no point in most places here. The water is no better past 300' and then your drilling for two days and complicated the job.
