he sure was moving for bicycle power but it takes a lot of energy to get it on plane then keeping it there is likely around 14th gear going up a slight incline on a mountain bike. rough guestimation, only usable in sprint applications not usable for travel but sure made an accomplishment in speed for bicycle powered vessels.

Not true. You can design the hydrofoil for a speed you want. This is designed for max speed in sprint lets say 30km/h. But if you put a larger hydrofoil, you can foil at lets say 10kmh with 30% power.

Brilliant performance, but I think the rider would be better positioned in a recumbent position. He would have the advantage of being able to brace his upper body, and he would be more open instead of hunched over. I think he'd be able to breathe better. Damn, I gotta get me a surfboard and build one of these.

Too bad it's not a recumbent style bike, you really need to figure out where you can gain the best use of your energy, never mind the shape of the wings, it's not energy efficient at all... and what's about that music? It's not in harmony at all, you really need to work on that, even if it's from a local artist. I can provide some good tunes, even my own projects! Just say it and I will provide ;)

i dont get why people care to do this kind of stuff... we have engines people! not to mention this thing only goes on water. its like paddle boarding. i dont get it. at least with surfing you catch waves and do tricks and stuff. same with like white water kayaking. kayaking on smooth water just seems so pointless...
