Glad it was helpful! The people in my class liked the darker skies the best. A few had blooms in their skies, but even those were pretty and worked just fine.

Thank you for making the outline available. It is so helpful for those of us who are drawing impaired!

Learning painting techniques is enough of a challenge! Work on one skill at a time for the best results - you can focus and improve what you're concentrating on.

Thank you so much for the "Bloom" tip. Very useful.

If you take your time and are patient you can fix blooms, or about anything else, too. Everyone makes mistakes or has unexpected or sometime weird things happen in watercolor, but on a good day unexpected results can be a happy accident.

Love this! What kind of paint did you use for the snow? Thank you!
@DebWatson Жыл бұрын
I was using Indanthrone Blue + Cerulean Blue but Ultramarine + Cerulean would also give you a good snow color. Mixing a warm and cool blue makes a beautiful grayed down (just enough) blue that works very well for snow shadows. Qor paint brands doesn't fade as it dries, so it makes painting a bit easier, as what you see if what you get.

Thank you! 😊 It is surprising how easy it is to paint a realistic looking snow covered evergreen when working step by step.

I plan to make copies of my painting and print onto 5"x7"cards. Is it better, in general, to paint a larger, 8"x10" and reduce it, or paint the smaller size? Thanks! I can't wait to get started!
@DebWatsonАй бұрын
Reducing a painting usually tightens up the detail and makes it look even better. I hope your card turns out beautifully, Bonnie! Happy holidays and keep painting.

You're welcome, Peggy. Most of the class did well with this one. You have to play with snow covered tree a bit, but it's a pretty card.
