The last bit about being scared almost giving up etc, that’s exactly what I felt today, like I’m new at this and just wish to paint something nice, your encouragement really helps 💕

I really appreciate your candor at the end, I tend to really get down on myself about my art and struggle with confidence in it, but hearing your words really helped me to know that it’s okay for my art to not be perfect, just to keep going ❤️

Very helpful. Thank you. Practice is such a key. I feel that just even being able to handle the brush better is an enjoyable victory. It just gets better. I love your honesty and how you are still learning and making mistakes. It makes me less fearful and patient with myself. Thank you Kristy. Karen from Canada

Im gonna do this right now. Im feeling anxious and watching this video relaxed me quite a bit. Im gonna grab my wc and play with it. I dont care if it looks good or not. But Im gonna use some metallic wc I dont really use a lot, but they have soooo much sparks that when they move in the water u can see them "shinning"... it makes me happy to see that effect. So to see that movement inside the circles and doing a dark background, is gomma make my day! Thank u for this video! 😊

Wow Kristy! What a fun exercise! I just discovered you today and this is exactly what I needed to see! I waste a lot of time watching instructional videos when I could be using that time doing stuff like this. Also, I'm going to get one of diagonal brush thingies. Seems like it could simplify certain strokes. Thanks, girlfriend!

This is fabulous Kristy! I never knew about exercising and I love it. I have to laugh because I have all your books and I only dream of painting the drawings as well as others do but the one thing I can do is draw perfect circle after perfect circle.😜. That story of Giotto and the perfect circle that means you are a true artist I'm figuring has holes in it.😂 Thank you so much Kristy🌹

beautiful. how do watercolor inks differ from straight watercolor?? Also, 2nd question, what is the paint or ink that you squeezed onto the bottom circle, a goldish color. is it a glitter ink too? many thanks for this. also, thanks for being so "real" :-)
@KristyRice3 жыл бұрын
I’m not a paint expert but my understanding is inks are more dye based hence the more intense color that sort of stains the page. Yes that was a shimmer ink!

Hi Kristy! I absolutely love this video!! I’m actually am trying to do Christmas balls, arrr, not easy. I can’t wait to try this tomorrow morning... using my new AfJS brushes that came today!!!! 🤗🤗. I’m so new to watercolor, don’t know how to draw or paint, on purpose anyway. It’s totally by the Grace of God that anything I’ve painted (oil paintings) in the past turned out kinda... That was 15 years ago. I love that you also listen to God, I’m so happy I came upon your videos. Have you ever done a teaching on warm / cool paint colors? I’m trying to do a new palette with warm on one side and cool on the other. I have other questions for you but don’t think I should extend this message any longer. If you could text me I’d appreciate it so much, I heard you say you didn’t mind answering questions. Thank you so much, love your joyful personality and free style!! ❤️
