It always amazes me how you can put such a bright green color on the face and still have it look natural

I'm probably not the one you want to get an answer from, but that's called underpainting. Or rather, undertone. Due to the skin being translucent AND reflective, light skin has (depending on surroundings and light sources) usually lots of blue, green and purple in the shadow areas and yellow and pink/red in the highlight areas.

Lovely! Your poor hand at 6:38 though, taking the brunt of all the splashing lol. I'm not always sure if there are preservatives in the paint that might be bad for me, or if the colors I used were totally non-toxic, so I try to be in the habit of cutting out shapes in printer paper to use as a splattering mask. The gold touches and light outlines around the splatter marks add nice interesting shapes to those abstract areas. I always admire your combination of loose and precise elements, it came together so nicely in the end :)
