I painted along with you, and I'm really impressed with how mine came out! Thank you so much for making sketching so simple! I've never been great at drawing, but the way you broke it into different shapes and then went back in to define the edges was extremely helpful!

I really really really like how you’re starting to point out the shapes you’re seeing and being more detailed as you walk through your sketches. I’m trying to improve my sketching skills but I rarely see this covered in watercolor videos and it’s hard for me to try to fit in a full class that’s designed for folks who want to learn how to draw. Thank you so much!

Great result. Thanks for info on that white - hadn't heard of it before. Do you erase your pencil lines after all dry?
@EmilyOlsonArt3 жыл бұрын
Yes, I do sometimes erase pencil marks after the painting is dry. It's just a matter of personal preference. :)

Do you have a traceable of this shell online at all? I am just beginning at watercolor and I can NOT draw at all. I would really like to try this tutorial but need a drawing to follow! Thank you!

The line drawing is included with my online membership, but you can also trace directly from a photo printed out. :)

Nice painting and I like Cotman student grade but I wonder why you didn't soften the hard graphite marks. 🤔

I did erase them after filming. I don't normally draw so dark, but I needed it to be visible for the video. :)
