You know, when seeing the final image, I'd never guess just HOW MANY layers and adjustments went into it! It's amazing to watch your process, it teaches perfectly the process of watercoloring and adding details with pencils. Very inspirational!

First I was like "What's with the weird blue colour" and then you rubbed it off and I was like "Ooooh, masking fluid!! greatstuff 8D" Great picture =D
@alaaalfaraon93688 жыл бұрын
hahah i thought she painted her blue and i was waiting for her to magically turn that blue into a normal skin tone and then she removed the masking fluid and i was like im so dumb
@brettaugarten84458 жыл бұрын
Yeah, I also thought there was no way the girl is going to turn out normal lol I've never seen blue colored masking fluid before
@KidsWithGuns19928 жыл бұрын
+Mi G So what is masking fluid?
@Alayses8 жыл бұрын
+KidsWithGuns1992 it's a thick fluid that you paint over areas in a picture you want to protect from colour. Once it's dry you can paint all over the picture and the colour will only stay on the blank areas. When the colour dried you can just rubb off the masking tape and you have a white area left

Great artwork. Loved it. But you know one thing I have always missed in this speed runs all over the internet. The whole process. The sketches, the inspiration, the references. When I was starting out I used to think that you guys just were geniuses that did this kind of thing in one sit. I was not aware of the work that goes behind it and I think it would be a great thing to show as well. Specially for the newbies' instruction.
@iraville7 жыл бұрын
Efraín Abreu i know what you mean. I show the sketches/thumbnails in the beginning of some of the videos (backyards of sneam for example). The problem i have is with filming the planning/sketching part is that the camera distacts me (or better my brain)and i cant think or being creative when the camera is on. I also often show sketches/experiments/thumbnails/colorroughs etc on my instagram (iraville) also my videos are not ment to be a tutorial...just process videos of my illustrations. I am not a teacher, just an illustrator 😄

I always forget how much layering is involved in watercolor, and when I see it done in action it reminds me why all my watercolors come out like garbage: because I have no patience and only do like 3 layers whOOPS

LaurenEM Same here plus I don't let the paintings dry sufficiently in between layers so I wind up moving the underlying paint and it looks like mud

amazing!! 😵 when you see the picture you don't imagine all the work that is behind it. it's amazing to see how you have to paint and repaint the background to make it perfect. the most amazing thing it that you think all the time you spent with the pencils it's not so important but are those little details that make the picture looks so wonderful. Great job! 😍😍
