The tip to analyze as you mix to make adjustments was my favorite. Many times I keep adding and adding color until I get that dreaded vomit color. I feel I now have a better grasp on what is happening. No more sickening colors mixes for me.

How do you mix raw and burnt sieanna?
@IntheStudiowithMicheleWebber7 ай бұрын
It's best to buy earth colors, you can mix an approximation by using yellow with pink and blue in the smallest proportion, but a mixed brown won't have the full beauty of natural earths. All three primaries mixed will make browns if the yellow and red are dominant, add more blue and you get grays.

This was very helpful. As an aside I HATE alizarin crimson.
@IntheStudiowithMicheleWebber8 ай бұрын
I find it only useful for certain muted petals and skin tones, it's not much good for mixing, and the cheaper brands can be terrible...
@jondoh5878 ай бұрын
@@IntheStudiowithMicheleWebber To me, alizarin crimson has a kind of brownish cast to it. I've therefore used it as a base for making earthy, non-color colors.
