First time I have watched this one! It is stunning! What a wonderful picture you painted of your Mom! ♥️🥰 I was blessed with a wonderful Mother. She died in 2014. I would call her and tell her the special things, the sad things, and ask her advice, ask her about a recipe 😊, and cry on her shoulder. I was the one she and Daddy wanted to take care of her when she was in need of care and again when she was dying. It was hard but I'm glad that I did it. I miss her so much! She taught me my morals, how to work, cook, and sew. She taught me to love God. A side note...she drove the logging truck to the mill for my Dad.

It's a beautiful card Kelly. You amaze me when you watercolor. Your Momma will love it even though she watched you create it.❤ I too, am lucky enough to call my mom my best friend. It made it so much easier growing up. I could tell her anything and we just talked it through like adults. My baby girl who is 18 is also my best friend and I am to her as well. I love how close our family is. It's very IMPORTANT to me. I've always told my kids the two most IMPORTANT things in life are family and good friends.❤ Kelly, you're like family I got to hand pick. Love you❤

This was an incredible story about your mom. And except for me I’ve never heard anyone else say “hate” is a strong word and you don’t say it. Your mom is rad and I’m so glad you shared these stories about her. Edit: dementia is hard on families, one great grandparent, 2 grandparents and now my dad. There are more bad days than good. Bless her heart!

How absolutely lovely Kelly! 💕 I loved how you spoke of your mom, I wished I'd had such a relationship, so yeah, you're a lucky lady for sure in that regard! 🤗😍 Happy Birthday to your mom! 🎂 🍭🎉🧁🥳🎈I pray you both have LOTS and LOTS of these times together ❤️ I couldn't help, maybe it's the mom in me, thinking as you told the beautiful story of your mom(tears, oh yeah), how wonderful YOU are as well! I may not 'know' you, but I see who you are thru everything you do. A fantastic mom and friend and wife, those around you are very lucky to be in YOUR space 😊 And, I think at 60(soon) that I'm a pretty good judge of character? Lol I hope one day your children do something like this video for YOU, I'm sure your mother could barely make it thru it, so touching! 💕❤️ Thank you for sharing...

You are so lucky that your Mom is still alive when you had your son. My kids never had any time with my folks when they were younger. Cause my folks passed on 25-26 years ago. So I am so glad you can talk with her anytime you want. I love the card you made your Mom. Beautiful colors and she will like the leaves. She knows flowers has green leaves. Thanks for sharing your younger years with your Mom. You might want to get a recorder so you can record your Mom's voice for you and your son. It helps as they grow older. Thanks for sharing and a great week.

Thank you for sharing your Mom story. I lost my mom a bit over three years ago and miss her like crazy. She was a good momma and a fantastic grandmother- we lived next door for several years and my kids loved their time with grandma and pap! Too many people take their parents for granted and don’t realize the treasures they are until it is too late. I am glad you are like me and are among the lucky ones. XO

Kelly, I love the card so much and all the love your poured into it - your momma is going to LOVE it. BUT she is going to love your praise for things that she does not even see herself doing the most. Some people just do things because that is who they are and never even see the sacrifice they are making for another person. They do the things out of love not obligations and they are from the heart. Your momma sounds like an amazing woman!

Our older two have really come to appreciate what I did to support them behind the scenes… I worked outside of the home as a speech pathologist “as well as at home” the youngest is still a work in progress… all these years when I thought they weren’t paying attention- they really were. For many years, I burned the candle at both ends for a long time - Wish I still could but your mom has a pretty great kid too!

I cannot tell you how much I love your stories. Your mother is most definitely making God Happy for all her wonderful things she does for other. I too had a wonderful mother, but she would have been too timid to do the things your mom did. As too making your watercolor nice and even again run it thru your Mink at 5 works like a dream. How is the little one? would love to see a picture. I just became a great grandmother (#6) on December 5. Having grandchildren is just the best I guess that why they are called "Grand"children. Hope you have a very special Christmas.

I love this card, and I always enjoy your stories. This one, however, really touched my heart. I, too, was blessed with a wonderful mother, and your mom sounds like the same type of person. I also have two sisters, but I'm in the middle. Sadly, I lost my mom when I was 41 (many years ago), but I am grateful for the years I, and my children, spent with her. We lived 2 miles from my parents, so my kids would often go to my parent's house "for a while'"when my parents stopped over. Usually within an hour, my kids would call and say they were spending the night. My kids are now adults, and they have many happy memories of hanging out with grandma, especially of her cooking their favorite foods. They remember short car trips with my dad, as he was a great one for just going for a ride. Until I was in high school, I truly thought everyone had the same kind of wonderful parents. I now have grandchildren of my own, and I'm doing my best to make the same wonderful memories my children had.
Thanks for sharing such a sweet and private moment about your momma! My mother’s been gone about thirty years now. We were never close, so I truly envy you your relationship. What can I say about your card other than I see you put in all the love you feel for your momma, and it shows beautifully. I know she’ll adore it and your story.

Awwwwwwwwwwwww Kelly, now I love your Momma!!!! She sounds like an amazing Momma! (I am the 7th of 8 children, the youngest of 5 girls) and I still call my mother Mommy sometimes, and she'll be 90 next month! My Mom worked very hard too both inside the home and outside of it and so I understand what you are saying! By the time we all moved out, most of us would not ask Mom to babysit as the poor woman needed a BREAK! However, we live 40 minutes away from our daughter and when she wants or needs a break, we are ON IT as I realize the need for help as a young, working mother needs. Our 2 young grandsons mean the world to us so if I am not at my Mom's house helping her with her day to day needs, I am at our daughters getting our 'baby fix'. LOL So I totally understand where your Mom's heart is....Happy Birthday 'Momma', you are truly loved! HUGS!

Thank you for your emotional journey. Always hold your Mom dear and near. And be there for her went she is having a bad day from taking care of your Grandmother. It is hard to care for someone with Alzheimer's. I faced that with my Mom. She passed away almost nine years ago and before she passed most of the time she didn't know my sister or me even though we cared for her every day. It really hurts when your Mom, your dearest best friend, doesn't know who you are. So if your Mom has a day like that just give her an extra hug. I love your videos. I learn so much from them. I'll keep your Mom in my thoughts and prayers.
