That was a fun one❤ had to just dive into this one to take the fear of trees and branches to the next level!

Thank you for such a detailed instructional video, it gives me confidence and I love snowy scenes. thank you also for the great reminder of consciously avoiding mark regularity, using the word pattern really helped bring it home to me because my brain is very insistent on “matching” marks unless I consciously avoid it.

Love this! Has anyone figured out a technique to paint the fine outer branches of deciduous winter trees without having to paint every single branch? I don’t want it to look like there are leaves which wouldn’t be there in the winter. I mangled an old fan brush, but that still gave me straight lines which I didn’t like. A sea sponge looked like leaves. Any ideas?
@pushingpigmentsbyhv13 күн бұрын
@@LouisaBlair-d4q painting those branches really is a chore! Try a liner or rigger brush. Or, just paint a few branches, some trees are bare too. Otherwise I don’t have any other ideas as of now, but I do wonder if mesh could work? I’ll have to give it a try and see.

Your painting is lovely and your demo is great. A couple suggestions, if I might? You say “um” or “uh” about every other word. It distracts from your instruction. Also, turn the orientation of your phone to landscape when filming for KZbin. The viewer has a much better perspective. Thanks so much!

@@ZeeCeeCreations thank you for the feedback. A lot of my voiceovers are done on one go with limited free time (I have a full time job and parent of young children), so I do my best with narrating on the go. I wish it was easier and smoother! I’ll keep that in mind. As far as the orientation, I’m still trying to figure out why it keeps uploading like this onto . It didn’t use to be like that. I hope to get it fixed soon. Thank you.
