Demo of spray bottles used in watercolor painting. Dot spry patterns add interest to watercolor painting. Fine mist can simplify the adding of background colors. Spray bottles can add paint to an area without at brush. Using a variety of colors in a selection of spray bottles to compliment the colors of your palette. These techniques make the foreground grass, and background trees easy to paint.

I would like to know more about how to create these watercolor spray bottles. I'm still not sure how much paint should be added in relation to the amount of water.

Start out with a 1 inch elongated squeeze from the paint tube. Then add about 1.5 inches of water measured from the bottom of the 2 ounce bottle. Mix well by shaking the bottle. Test the mixture by spraying on watercolor paper. Adjust the color by adding a little more paint for a darker mix or add a little more water for a lighter mix.
