You made me laugh out loud! When you said that your palettes are full and you are not going to buy any more of that brand! I have switched paints in and out of working palettes for years! I even purchased a studio palette that held 64 colors/pans and I can pick and place any color or brand that fits my fancy! This is a Robax palette, it is round and spins and has replaceable pans. I can fill one up and pop it out if I find that I want a different color or brand! Thank you for sharing your treasures and giving me a good laugh. I hope you come to see the silliness of only having so many colors to fit inside any palette, but maybe you can avoid buying more paint than you truly need. I have never met an Artist that could, I even have trouble saying no to a gift of a tube of paint even if I have a similar unopened one at home in a drawer! I’ve seen those Rona’s palettes on KZbin before. And yes, exactly what you said - for me, it’s been a great way to limit my shopping. I mean, there are only so many colors you can possibly need! But I do love shopping so would probably just expand to trying other brands. Anyway, thank you for watching and commenting and I’m glad you enjoyed the vid! ☺️

Hullo Ela, I learned the lesson around 20+ years ago to not spend money on “cheap” papers. I only buy 100% cotton paper and you don’t have to buy Arches every time. There are many store brands, Blick’s and Cheap Joe’s named their watercolor paper Kilimanjaro! I have learned that so many of my “experiments” became beautiful art and if they were on that cheap paper or sketchy surface I never was able to replicate the original! So I could sell the “better” piece but it was not as inspired an artwork! Please learn from my experience that even a “practice piece” can become an amazing piece of art!

I totally agree! I was planning on using just the nice paper once I ran out of the cheaper paper but I got so used to using the heap paper, that I like it too and I couldn’t pass up the $4 price tag! And it’s useful for swatches and quick experiments
