I’m 58 years old and a fully self-taught artist. In the last few months I’ve had a passion for learning to do loose watercolor flowers. I really love your approach and am trying to find my own niche. Thanks for sharing.

You are really the greatest. The other painter couldn’t paint for 50% like you can do it. The peonie is sonreally nice. Looks so easily by you but it‘s so heavy. And you don’t talk so histeric and you don’t give us so much advertisement. It’s really all in a very good Mix. Thank you. My kids are really good learning from your videos now, and me too.

Oh my gosh!! That peony!! You are the most talented watercolor artist on youtube!! Hands down! I love watching your videos! You have helped to inspire me to breakout my watercolors again! I took a watercolor class in college, got super into it and then psyched myself out by my perfectionism. Of course, watercolor is all about being free and relinquishing control to the paint, water and brush. I'm starting again with a new approach. I love your loose florals and I know I'm going to learn a lot from your videos. Thanks so much for sharing your beautiful talent with all of us!

I love the shadows and richness of color bleeding into another. This lends to portray the softness of the flower. I especially love the peony! It seems easier to copy your painting than to interpret and paint from an actual photo or flower. It would be so helpful if you could at certain points, also show your reference photos (as you did the freesia). It would be helpful in learning how to interpret a photo to paint. And your little guy is a real charmer!

Hello Emma, this is so lovely. And so is your little boy... Thank you for your kind encouraging manner of teaching. I’m new to Watercolour and yours is one of the channels that keep me inspired. I had some new brushes arrive today, and now I know the difference a quality brush will make. I leant very early to use Arches paper in order to achieve results that kept me wanting to paint. Thank you again, Emma. Warmest regards from Dianne in Australia 💐

And Emma, I am SO thankful for your approach to watercolors. I love that you don't complicate the wc process with terminology, fancy words, etc. I've not found anyone here on YT who has the easiest method and approach to painting. You make me feel like I can actually achieve something that resembles a flower! :) I've seen you grow from the beginning until now, and your confidence has been a journey of leaps and bounds for you and your viewers. You're the best teacher I've had yet. THANK YOU for the many gifts you bring to many of us on YT. You keep it all SOOOO simple, fun, easy that everyone who views your videos can feel like a real watercolorist. One question: do you prefer Arches pads/blocks when you paint, or 22x30 sheets you tear down? I never know what the best way is. THANK YOU EMMA! :) Fanna Turano Denver, CO

@EmmaLefebvre 5 жыл бұрын
Frances Turano wow, your comments are so kind and uplifting! People like you are the reason why I do these videos so THANK YOU! As for the arches paper, I usually purchase the pads (I find it’s the cheapest option... the blocks are quite expensive) and I just cut them down to whatever size I want to work with. I usually don’t do a painting over 10”x14”
