This was a super enjoyable video. I was laughing with you as you were hilarious presenting your ‘first’ efforts which looked a lot like my first watercolour pieces. 😂 Honestly I could hardly breathe!! 🤣 But!! ha ha, pleased my laughing wasnt irritating. Gauache is a watercolour. It comes in a tube and you squirt it into containers and let it dry and use like a normal water colour. Or you can use it in it's liquid form, but im not skilled enough for that and i waste it if i do it that way

You don't have to be a painter to be an artist, artistry comes in many forms, so don't put yourself down like that. Your card isn't that bad, you could add a few little touches to perfect what you did. For the snowman though you could try using a circle shape stencil to help with that. You aren't as bad as you think Sasha.💕

Yes, opaque is the correct word. The opposite being transparent. Guache isn't really watercolor paint, it's guache (lol). Watercolor is a translucent paint. I loved this sweet video. Thank you. Precious laughter.

I had to laught also 🤣. Little tipp: If you paint on dark paper you need to think more about your "light source". Lifting up the color on dark paper makes the color more translucent and that makes the part you liftet up the color darker ' cause more of the paper shows through. Painting on dark paper is the other way around than on white paper. Highlights on dark paper means adding more color. Watercolor are transparent, so you can't paint on dark paper. Gouache is a opaque version of watercolors. Keep practicing your painting it's worth the time 😉. And keep on happy laughing 😂

Opaque is the correct word. It’s for something that you can’t see through. However, I think you meant to use the term _translucent_ instead of _transparent_ to describe traditional watercolors. If it’s _translucent,_ light travels through the color partially (to varying degrees) so you can see through them to what’s underneath but you can still somewhat discern color. If something is _transparent,_ it means it is completely see through, like glass or water. As for your artwork, your results have earned you an A (for Acceptable 😜). but you get an O for your courage in actually painting them to begin with. The recipients will be thrilled that you took the time and effort to make the cards. Don’t apologize for your laughter, it’s infectious and it’s a wonderful thing to be able to laugh at yourself. Your life tends to be a lot less stressful and much more authentic. I wish we had a store like your Every Craft’s a Pound here in the US. Crafts supplies are so expensive and now we don’t even have Tuesday Morning stores anymore!
