I'm a 69 year old skier. Since 1998. Riding a '23 VX HO stage one. I just started restoring my'97 Yamaha GP1200. While the VX has lot to like, the GP was/is far more fun. I don't think anything today will jump clear of the water on a throttle stab, or slide or track depending on your weight shift. You guys are right, we need a 500 lb, 160 or more HP machine from either of the two remaining players. Maybe the corporate idiots at Y or BRP will wake up to this before I die.

I just started on Seadoos FB. We need a SparkX or bring back the XP. Something stupid fast, stripped down that you can take out for the day and get soak and beat to s**t. Call it the T3X hull

We want fast, high horsepower options on all models and loud bright colors, not f@cking TAN. Whoever picks their colors should be immune fired.

They won't do it because then it would be faster/better than the flagship 325(after installing aftermarket mods). And that might steal away sales from the big machines that are most likely very profitable. Kinda how GM had to keep the Camaro's and Firebirds + Grand Nash slower than the Vette. Or how Nissan did the same thing with giving the 240sx a truck motor so it would be slower than the 300z. That's my guess

Dead on…. Got the Jetblaster for my 16 year old for that reason on why and how I got into PWCs. Love the looseness of it but just need about 40 more HP to be perfect

I would kill for a spark x that's fast and light but the other end of the spectrum funds the low production items. Off road is huge right now and I don't understand the hate for the explorer. I'm 26 with a 24 rxt-x and love speed but I totally plan to camp with my ski and think the explorer is really a great idea. I totally see a spark x and the explorer as something people want. I think a great ski combo would be a rxt and spark x to get both

Just keep quality hoses, clips, seals and belts whatever the platform. No scrimping with Cheap parts. Original oem, usually of Japanese origin. 😎👍

We have a Jet Blaster. It'll do an indicated 53mph on flat water, though that is kinda boring. When it gets fun is when everyone gets on the lake and makes some choppy conditions. You really have to stand up to ride it, and you have to pay a lot of attention or you are going to get thrown. I'm an avid mountain biker, but my quads are done after 45 minutes. I've noticed that the bigger skis can go faster and the riders can stay seated. That's not what I want. I want a Jet Blaster with the 1.9l engine. Roughly the Shelby Cobra of the water.

Excellent. I’m sure I’d love a Spark X and I know for sure I’ll love the new Wave Blaster but being a Kawi Guy, what can we get them to do to get back in the game?? An X2???

Love the renders. It really shows what they could have done. I do really like the new offerings colors as well though. After looking at the latest SuperJet and then waveblaster 1 their dimensions are not too much different. The WB1 is about 5 in wider in the rear. This leads me to believe Yamaha could shove the TR1 engine into a small craft like the WB1. Maybe they are saving those colors for something special.. one can hope. Building a craft like this would then check all the boxes Kevin mentions in this video. kzbin.info/www/bejne/bJLElJyrm756kMk It looks like the new Superjet even has a 1.6 gallon smaller fuel tank than the original blaster so shrinking the tank would give them more room and less weight to help offset what a 4 stroke weighs.

No idea, if it’s the norm but my friend has 2 Sparks and they claim they are both troublesome. According to them they eat “sensors”. I have seen them try to get them off the trailer and one or the other refuses to start. Hopefully Seadoo some how improves the reliability.

Thats whats killing their marketshare. They have no small light pwc option. Their only options are a non supercharged GP alternative, a luxury full size family ski, and luxury full size hot rod. They need that small dirt bike equivalent that you can jump waves and ride all day on. If they make a ski to compete with the Spark and Jetblaster thats priced right their sales would jump.

And..... screw the electronics. They could save some money there. We don't need all this fancy gadgetry. Electronics for easy modifications?, yes. All the rest of it for Comfort and convenience? NO!
