Hi Kevin, thanks for the great video and advice. Are there any other mods you would suggest apart from these 4?
@watercraftjournal3 жыл бұрын
Not really. But again, it all depends on your personal goals. I don't need a ski that runs 85mph. I've had those. They're more high-maintenance than some girlfriends I've had. -K
@patrickmaxwell2053 жыл бұрын
@@watercraftjournal Thanks. Yeah I definitely don’t want high maintenance issues.

Is it still worth SCOM in Australia (international version without speed limiter) considering he said he is already going 122kph and you said he will get 77mph which is about the same speed
@watercraftjournal3 жыл бұрын
Yes, international units are still speed/rpm restricted - just not nearly as bad as here in the US. The SCOM will unleash the ACE 300's full stock potential.

I just pre ordered a 2022 RXTX. I had planned on getting a SCOM and oil catch can. I know these mod recommendations are for the rxps, would you recommend the sponsons and grate on the rxtx as well?

You haven't seen our video on the ST3, have you. Kevin lists the 4 mods he suggests for the RXT-X there.

Hi kevin Im also located in Australia and i have a 2017 rxpx. I recently purchased a few parts from worx racing as their stuff is easily available here compared to the riva stuff. My main goal with modifying it was to achieve a few extra mph. Standard i was able to get the ski to 72-73mph. I have now fitted a 4inch cold air intake, worx intake grate, free flow exhaust, ecu reflash (i was told stg1 8400rpm tune) and a solas 13/18 prop and new wear ring. After all that i only picked up 1-2 mph over stock. I feel the acceleration has increased but the top end the same. After talking to a few ski owners in my community a few people seem to think i made the wrong prop selection and should have gone with a 13/16 instead of 13/18. Would this make a huge difference? I feel like the mods were barely worth it or are my expectations too high?. My goal was to try see 78-80. Mechanically the ski runs perfect and has been serviced every season. Cheers
@watercraftjournal3 жыл бұрын
Yup, the combination is wrong. What RPM are you spinning at 74mph with your 13/18 prop?

Where do I get the intake grate for the rxpx 300 2021-22? Riva racing said they don’t make one yet for the t3r hull.

I am located in the Philippines and recently bought a 2021 RXP 300. I have read up a lot and watched many videos on how to to break it in. However when I rode it the first few hours it appeared I was able to access sport mode and reach top speed. Are international units different and if yes, how so? Thanks.
@watercraftjournal3 жыл бұрын
Sea-Doo's sold internationally are "RS" units. The break-in procedure should be identical, but you will go faster (72+mph).
@patrickmaxwell2053 жыл бұрын
@@watercraftjournal thanks. Does that mean I will not benefit from the SCOM mod?
@watercraftjournal3 жыл бұрын
The RS is restricted, but not by much. The SCOM will only give you 1-2mph.

Is there much if anything to be gained with a high flow air intake ?
@watercraftjournal3 жыл бұрын
Certainly, but only if the engine requires added air.
@larry926632 жыл бұрын
This is just a Riva paid advertisement, the scom is garbage and waste of money just get ecu program and run 80. Stock sponsons are fine, Riva sponsons scrub off top speed. We buy these for speed, Riva intake grate is negligible over stock but not worth Money. Best advice was the catch can, Riva or JP both good ones to have.
@watercraftjournal2 жыл бұрын
Larry, the vast majority of people don’t want to void their warranty by reflashing their ECU; and clearly you ride at such a poor skill level that youve either pushed the ski hard enough in a corner to break the tail free, or lack the understanding to feel it doing so.
