Wow. You've given me a new inspiration. I'm a hunter and I've just found a passion for the photography. I'm now gonna shoot them with my camera now.

I'm not against hunting if you can't afford the price of groceries or live very far from civilization but hunting for sport is just wrong, period. I'm not looking for an argument, it's my opinion, that's why it's my...opinion. Now for context I spent six years in the Army and was a Green Beret for two years, so I know and love guns. I'm hoping you will trade your gun for a camera if you're sport hunting.

i agree, I have noticed that with BIF photos its like hunting with out the killing or video games with out the couch. Aim, acquire focus, push button, repeat. I am having so much fun. birds on a stick are great , I am not good at finding them but larger water birds standing around around are welcome . My 600 prime is enroute as we speak and first trip is to the Texas coast. No money left for fancy jackets and pants at this time !

Great video and some great shots. I'm interested in the tripod and tripod head you are using. Would you mind telling me the make and model numbers please?

Here in the U.K., especially England, Wales and Northern Ireland waterfowl and waders are our main source of wildlife. Of course in the Scottish Highlands there’s far greater chance of seeing more wild mammals, and more unusual land birds. It’s amazing how many species we share and far too numerous for me to mention. One suggestion for those new to wildlife photography is go to your local park and practice tracking the tamer birds there. I’m presuming the canvas back is a close relation to the pochard, they looked bigger, of course they don’t have the blue on a shorter bill and the wing feathers are much paler. Besides for all that they could be twins! Because I have disabilities often my only option is to get in the water to get a different shot. My chest waders are one of my best photography accessories. I don’t use them often as often it’s too difficult to get down a bank etc to get in the water, but when I need them nothing else will do. On my 7DII I have the option of 10FPS, but I will often choose the silent option which is a bit slower, do you suggest I don’t use this option? Thanks for another superb video, I am really hooked on your channel for the photography, great advice and natural history. Doug, be kind to your cameraman and get your lines right, he’s pretty damned good too and you don’t want to lose him.

I've been really curious after watching your series if when shooting birds in flight if you are manually focusing or are in Servo. What level of Image stabilization are you using? I'm really trying to force myself to learn how to manual focus EVERYTHING! Was just curious. Love the show Doug!

I am new subscriber to your channel and find it very informative as a newbie to photography. I enjoy shooting wildlife and sports. Thank you for the great content. I do have a question... do you utilize back button focusing? Why or Why not?

google camo waders and camo jackets
@patricksmith25536 жыл бұрын
Honestly I've never used any camo and I've been doing wildlife photography for 20 years. I even buy the black lens coat for my super-tele lenses. It's a marketing gimmick. With patience and technique and respect you can get very close to wildlife or if you can't you can buy a 600mm f4 or 800mm 5.6 or teleconverters. Obviously I know everyone can't afford better gear, but super-zooms are much cheaper these days and my point is no one need camo gear to get good wildlife images.

From what i seen if u want just get a cheap camouflsge jacket an just cut sleeve out of it an put camera lens in sleeve of jacket. Or s old wore out jacte would work to.
