Has the floor warped any over time? I like the velcro idea, but there isn't anything preventing it from warping upward in the areas away from the velcro. And do you wish you had gone with thicker plywood?

That is awesome! I'm so glad you found everything helpful and thank you for sticking around as long as you have! 1448 is an excellent platform to build, I'm hoping to get into that for my next build!

The EVA foam is for floatation just incase the boat sinks? Or is it for sound? Seems like if the boat ever did take on water the velcro might release and the foam would come out. I am starting a similar floor install in a 15 foot Gregor aluminum boat. Thanks for the video

The plywood is secured down so the foam shouldn't float away. It's a support for the flooring/sound deadening but also to replace removed foam for emergency buoyancy.

Do you glue the foam insulation to the floor of the boat, if yes what glue/adhesive to use. OR do you just velcro epoxied plywood flooring to ribs and call it good? Thx for your time. I would not attempt any of this without your help!

I did not glue the foam board to the floor, you don't need to since the floor is meant to hold it down. Especially if you affix the floor using screws.

Question about the velcro; when you take out the boards, did the velcro peel off the ribs or wood, or did it work as you hoped? Thanks!
@mvboutdoors3 ай бұрын
It worked really well, if you are doing it make sure you give sufficient time for the velcro adhesive to cure before trying to remove anything.

Did you epoxy the top, sides, and bottom? Or the top and sides only?

Every side got epoxy

Hi Mike, whats the quality/thickness of the plywood that you used? I plan on adding epoxy to a floor deck on my boat as well
