Im so happy the sport is growing beyond the "old" dynasties. Last year, watching a tournament was basically just asking "which team is going to lose to johns/johns or johns/waters or waters/parenteau?" It wasnt even super enjoyable to watch matches with those teams because there was zero suspense. But tactics are changing and people are getting better and broadening their skillset to help expose heretofore unseen weaknesses. Good stuff. Well played lacey and jorja.

Bright and Rachel helped expose ALW a bit, in that you can consistently neutralize her aggression by simply stay a half step back -- and in turn, turn that defense into offense. Lacey and Jorja seemed to follow that gameplan well. You have to keep ALW frustrated, and cannot let her smell blood in the water.

I was also heavily impressed with Lacy, she has a habit of starting out strong but falling off after the first game but she stayed pretty linear throughout the game playing rather well.

We all knew the days would come when additional talent would enter professional pickleball. Credit to alw for sure as she more or less, as just a teenager has been so far ahead of other ladies. Now in just the last 10 months or so are we seeing some real challenge and strategy, physical talent, and new energy and tenacity that has beaten her a few times. This is no joke to assume she will win and I sense she and her mom feel that day would come and stiff competition has arrived. It will be a tough 2025 for her but as young as she is, she can still adjust.

Glad to see Jonhson/Schneeman becoming a new challenge to the old dynasty of Waters/Parenteau. This is getting more exciting to watch.

Have you watched Anna Bright and Kate Fahey? I used to think the same about ALW, now she grew on me. She is becomings a good person, amazing daughter and a hard worker!

Nah. Parenteau needs to get a new paddle sponsor. Selkirk is super mid and extremely mid for the role she plays with ALW and Alshon.

Why is ALW so unlikable? She is as good as Ben, but no one’s trashes Ben or just say they dislike him. But why ALW?

She's young and extremely competitive, wearing her emotions on her sleeve. Maybe as she grows older and matures, she will learn to be a little calmer, but that same fire is what makes her so great. She is the world's #1, after all. I'm sure those who are just as competitive appreciate her intensity.
