Omg i have loved Nigel Slater for years & have collected his books including this one . If i could be granted a wish it would be to spend a day in his kitchen & watch a master at work creating such great food xx

The best food I've ever eaten was in Kep, Cambodia. Fresh crab with fresh green peppers, on the vine.

Burnt toast is the worst smell. Until i learned otherwise, i thought the way to make toast was to burn some sliced bread under the grill then scrape the burnt bits off with a knife over the sink. Dear mum.
