Proper explanation. The aftermarket effect of the EV is greatly underestimated. Way less parts and materials produced to maintain them. That adds up too.

Thanks Jeff! Appreciated you taking the time to comment! Let's hope all these added benefits of EVs really do materialise!

Great video.... Unbiased points raised. Add to this that modern BEV's are likely to be able to cover higher mileage than an ICE vehicle. Yes some people have 200k & 300k ICE vehicles but no one has the 1 million miles that some Tesla's have.

Thanks Mika! Although we are EV fans, we try to present the videos in a balanced fashion. Thanks for the comment!

In Australia I can do most of my EV charging on my home solar system when working from home.

Without a standard battery cell unit size, repair of battery packs is problematic and expensive. If we can actually get to a standard size where cost of manufacture can come down so that these standard cells can be replaced in any vehicle then we can realise much better life of the EV's and reduce carbon foot print to a much lower level.

That's an interesting point Tom, and we're certainly in full agreement on being able to replace parts of the battery. It'll be interesting to see how it develops as manufacturing of cells is expanding rapidly. Thanks for the comment!
