It would be cool to get some unique trophies from mansions, kinda like dragon head from the end ships. I remember, back in the days, the only way to get mossy cobblestone by finding the dungeon. So you would go explore the world to get it.

Woodland mansions used to have a exclusive item until 1.14 (now you can just get totems from raids) They do need a new exclusive item, i like the idea of a mansion trophy but i also think a new gameplay item could be good too also i think the end city/ship banners should have a redesign and be a special kinda banner like ominous/illager banner

I have been playing Minecraft for two years and watching a ton of KZbin content. I have thought again and again but I cannot figure out why Minecraft community and Mojang are so against any proper loot from exploration. Adding 100% chance for Notch apple from Woodland Mansion loot wont kill anyone. Apparently a villager can sell you diamond armor for few emeralds, but good Woodland Mansion loot is OP.

wattles, I have an update idea for minecraft. Please make a video about this. So. How about you can join either good side or bad side in minecraft. Means, right now, there are only village raids. where you take villagers side and defend the village. Imagine you can have a choice about which side to join. you can join the pillager sides and they will give you a village map and you have to raid it and kill the villagers. The village will be filled with iron golems so it will be difficult. After you raid a village, the raider will give you unique items. The way it will work is, when a pillager patrol comes, they will not attack you. instead they will offer you to raid the village. If you accept then they will give you village maps. If you don't accept, they will attack you and if you kill them, you get bad omen. Minecraft is a free minded game. So it would be cool if you can join the bad guys too instead of the good guys. Like so wattles can see. Please reply to this wattles

so, I realize this is an older video now, but I felt like I needed to look up info on these mansions because when I started a solo world with 1.18, I spawned in a dark forest with a mansion literally within view. I spawned on a coast right next to a shipwreck. there was also a mushroom fields island beyond the shipwreck. it was the craziest spawn I've ever seen, and since it was raining a lot, it was very atmospheric, very moody, almost like I'd been shipwrecked in a storm near this mysterious mansion. I was honestly glad to hear the mobs don't respawn though, because I intend on cleaning out the mansion and making it my base!

2:52 the wool is meant to be folded up as fabric on the shelves and the wool with fence posts on them are spools of wool cloth. It’s meant to convey that the wool has been woven into fabric and stored.

My experience : First Woodland mansion : Around 8000 blocks away (Z axis) a secret room contained a golden apple in a chest. Second Woodland mansion : More than 20000 blocks away (Z axis) and again got golden apple.

I remember when woodland mansions were somewhat worth going to for totems but now because of the new raids it made it so they were not really worth going to anymore for only but its loot. I hope we get an update which adds a new mob sort of like a mini boss like what the elder guardian is for an ocean monument and it drops a rare weapon maybe a battle Axe 🤔

Yeah they are. The best loot is probably the diamond hoe, maybe a god apple and getting a totem of undying from a few evokers. Then the design lacks in detail throughout the mention. This texture pack looks really cool though :)

It can be something like pillager outposts,when you break some specific blocks,they stop spawning(in pillager outposts you'll need to break the banners so they won't respawn) Or maybe like they raid you from the outside..something like Zomhie seiges? Until they give up...like one or two minecraft years after you raiding the mansion?...(yes.literally a year or two-)

The coolest things about woodland mansions imo is the ability to capture illagers that are not part of a raid, and being able to convert it to a base. I have been playing over two years and have not had the occasion to find one yet.

I agree with what you're saying about mobs not respawning but counter to that is the mansion is something you conquer. What I like about this data pack is that it has the new worker blocks. Maybe if they worked like spawners and the mansion was kind of like a village... something like that. Something where you can have mobs respawn or you could take over the place. I guess lighting does that with regular mobs so maybe that's all that's needed.

Woodland Mansions are still probably the best looking structure in vanilla minecraft (even without the visual enchantments seen in this video) and one of the best structures to explore and convert into a 2nd base but i agree they are lacking purpose outside of that because the exclusives that the woodland mansion has are no longer exclusive to woodland mansions after the 1.14 update (you can get totems from raids now) and end cities are way more common in the end islands and they have much better loot than woodland mansions I think what could help is probably a buff to the loot to make them on par with end cities (i think its fair to buff them to that level considering they are rarer than end cities even though mansions are overworld structures), and make the illagers respawn in certain rooms of the mansions (though the respawn should somehow have the ability to be destoryed somehow because i do think people like to convert mansions to bases, some similar to breaking a mob spawner to stop illager spawning but the spawning of new illagers not being a mob spawner particularly because it be odd personally, it would have to be a new block i guess and the spawn rate would have to be a similar rate to natural illager spawning in outpost towers) and sometimes spawn banner illagers so you can kill them to get Bad Omen so you can triggers raids later, i think they also probably need a new exclusive item considering the one they used to have is no longer exclusive to it 1.14 and onwards they definately need more of a gameplay/ultility related buff more than a cosmetic one but this is still a nice cosmetic overhall, its a nice improvement visually

They are extremely rare, normal generations usually 15000 blocks from your spawn point. You can find it by purchasing the Map that leads to the Mansion from a Cartographer Villager LvL 3.

@@bonbonwithme7237 this is the harder way… I found mine in 5 minutes!! Turn on “show coordinates” then go into your chat and type /locate mansion. Then it will give you coordinates. Now say the coordinates are 2361 y 4513. Go to the chat again and type /tp 2361 100 4513 . It will take you directly to the mansion!! I literally circled the world for 3 hours then found this hack on KZbin! Also when they give you coordinates like 2354 y 1968 always put 100 where the y is or it won’t work. Hope this helps!

Id add a courtyard or a garden to spawn with the mansion. It could go anywhere, which would mean a variation on the actual mansion design. They all look exactly the same, only the rooms inside are different. By randomly placing a courtyard/garden, it forces a change on the overall design. Secondly, id add hidden passages. Be nice to zip from one end to the other or find hidden stairs. Maybe even a potion in a frame or an enchanted iron tool? Lastly, id add paintings. Maybe even some new ones to expand the illager lore. We havent had new paintings in a while.

For someone who always wanted to set up a base in a woodland mansion, this is amazing. Anyway we definitely need stuff to be revamped, they revamped the villages so we know that its not impossible for them. The structures we need revamped is nether fortresses, the pillagers out posts, strongholds because its one of the most important structures, dessert temples and dungeons by far. I mean they are just a cube with a spawner and one to two chests.

Changes I’d make in addition to the fancier structure: -Use those Illusioner mobs, darn it! -“Partially generated” mansions with the scaffolding block & enslaved villagers on the job, like we see them working in MC Dungeons. These fellas have only been invading our worlds since 1.11, after all! -Ramp up Outpost & Hut spawns closer to Mansions- if I start seeing fortifications, I don’t need to rely on cartographers. -I like to make mansions my own! Instead of respawning mobs within, once the player/tamed wolf kills an enemy in the Mansion, a timer starts for the chance to spawn what would resemble Raid waves as the Illagers attempt to reclaim their precious mansion. Perhaps once all waves have been defeated, a “Master Illusioner” lurking inside the mansion reveals themselves for a final boss fight, after which their illusions fade to reveal great treasure hidden in between planes. Then, it’s all yours! -Pack the thing with Illager high life! Maybe some of the rooms are hosting formal parties, dancing around caged villagers, maybe even chugging potions from Witches. If it’s the only place to have a good time for evildoers for tens of kilometers, it should be packed. -Forest cleared outside the mansion for anything that can’t fit inside! Maybe stables with baby ravagers being raised, a pig race track, & some war machine action like rows of Pillagers firing at the recent Target block. Of course, “Illager military base” is deserving of its own generated structure. Would be a very cool rare find out on a shore. -Chests should include tons what Pillagers ought to have looted from their successful raids, those chest loot items ranging from loads cacti & bread to the occasional diamonds & obsidian.

Nice. The hall runners in the vanilla mansion are not all red fwiw(4:15), they have white edges (video actually shows this in the intro..) I think maybe this ‘improved’ mansion is lit much better than the vanilla, that’s why you came across so few creepers/skeles/zombies. In a vanilla one it’s almost caving, so many dark corners in the mansion, you can spend a couple stacks of torches going through it. I do like it..

Mabye make butler's,maids, twin sibling, and other new mansion related mobs. It could feel like an actual raid button when only pressed by mobs native to the mansion vindicators start spawning from a specail room and around the mansion until you defeat all the evokers. Pillager outpost have Iron Golems, so why not have some Villagers stashed away? And nether friend nor foe can get out till you throw the lever, as long as it is lite like the 4th of July...

had to travel 50k blocks south and 50k blocks north to find my mansion, it's definitely about the journey not the destination haha... coz the destination was disappointing

A trip wire that completes a wither using pistons would be hilarious..... I just fought the wither for the first time on bedrock normal, much much harder then in Java. Or worse, once you enter top room a wither spawns inside a secret room and you online hear it..... untill to comes for you.... Conquer Woodland mansion get nether star :)

Mojang should just make the woodlands better and make the mobs respawn, raidfarms are easy to make anyhow so what gives. They should also let the illusioner spawn in there to make it even harder, and that to me would definetly justify End City tier of loot, maybe iron enchanted gear instead of diamond ones, but non the less better loot would be cool (ofcourse no elytra lol)

I like the idea of improving it, but I always just kill the mobs and use it as a master hub base since it will be safe from agro mods and has tons of room for storage

My best friends and I recently came across a Mansion in a new world. It was the first time any of us had found one. We went in virtually unprepared, but managed to (through many deaths and chaos) clear the place out. The final tally of exploring such an enormous place (excluding the structural blocks)? A couple Pumpkin/Melon/Dark Oak/Wheat farms, and a few tools/armor pieces (Diamond Hoe and Chainmail chest piece); a Totem of Undying (meh), and multiple "The Shining" hallways that needed lit like a motherfucker. It's intimidating and impressive to find a Woodland Mansion, but when all is said and done, it's *not* worth the effort. It's too massive to convert to a base of operations (unless you have 10+ players), and really just boils down to a novelty find. Hell, the sheer amount of multiple, large roofs are spawning grounds for mobs. Good on you for finding one! Now pour some lava buckets and burn that bitch down. Pretend it never happened and live a happy life, literally anywhere else... far, far away.
