Unfortunately about 90 percent of all campgrounds are too close. 😕

Speaking of wind, I have seen Dorathy from the Wizard of Oz flying over several times this winter and no alcohol was involved in the sightings.

We've had the sane sightings! LOL

Only one set of my friends who go down for the winter, left this year, in between the waves. So one couple out of four that I know, headed your way. Best wishes from the far North.
@WattsOnWheels2 жыл бұрын
That explains why there were so many empty spots. I know a few Canadians that escaped when they could to warmer weather and glad they did.
@carlthor912 жыл бұрын
@@WattsOnWheels The ones that went down, had to hire a CDL driver to get their smaller rig, of the two they own, down. As only OTR truckers, or Health Care workers, where allowed across the land border, flying was exempt, unless the govt really wanted to throw the wrench into the economy. They had to pick up their rig in Grand Forks, and carry on. They can get back now, without too much grief, just waiting for warmer weather, end of March, I think.

Quartzsite is very dusty. Everything is covered including inside the cabinets. Gonna take a long time to get clean. But having a great time with friends.

We were at Paradise park.. just down the road from here.. at about the same time you were at Sunshine. We actually toured Sunshine and realized that this is where we should have booked. Paradise was nice except the sites had little overhangs on both sides and we had a very difficult time with our big DP getting in and opening the slides. We have now terminated TT and the Encore package. Our 45' DP will not fit in most Encore parks..ie .. can't get into ANY Encore in Yuma :(

We got into Suni Sands in Yuma. But the turns were tight. kzbin.info/www/bejne/qnTGYqakd5xogMU

Dave carry some diamatous earth with you guys. When down in those areas that have fire ants spread it around the out side of the coach and rig. It's natural and the ants don't like it. It destroys there exoskeleton. Safe travels and roads. Brian and Cindy "xtreambydesign with passion"

Thanks for visiting our neck of the woods. Weather out here in winter is the best but not in summer 😰. South Padre island 🏝 is great place to visit, recommend Clayton’s beach bar. Next time you’re in the area also visit Santa Ana wildlife refuge for nice hike. ❤️ your channel

It was free for us due to our membership while we were there. I think it starts around $750 for a month. You can Google it and put in your information.

Amazing that they are slow while the Encore/Thousand Trails parks in Florida are packed. I’m currently in an Encore park in central Florida and it’s been consistently packed since I have been here (October). We also have friends we’re we stayed the last three years in Yuma and the park there (and others) have been packed s well.
@WattsOnWheels2 жыл бұрын
Yuma is very popular in the winter. Both FL and AZ seem to be packed in the winter. Surprised this campground wasn't.

We spent winter 2020 in south TX doing the Encore shuffle. Most of the parks were 1/2 empty but with Covid etc. we expected that. Surprised to see there is still vacancy in winter 2021/2022.... Sunshine is by far the hardest place we've tried to find just because of that crazy road and no real markings; however; the country club side is really nice. Safe travels! ~Lynette
