I have gone through 3 years of electrical Installation course, and 4 years of electronics at university without truly even knowing what phase really was until now. Never have someone explained to excellently. Before phase to me was "something to with angles about a sinewave since sometimes we say 180 degree out of phase"

On the Sick and Wrong Podcast, Episode 607, there was an interview with an 'alien contactee', and he said that aliens on this planet exist "slightly out of phase", and when they want to interact with the human world, they pop their head in, see that the coast is clear, and enter our realm if it is! I didn't know what he meant by "slightly out of phase". Now I sort of do. 😊
