Found it! Thanks for clarifying the pros and cons of Spherix! - I plan to get it with gig money at some point. SAMP by HoRNet Plugins seems to overcome the 7.1.2 (Bed) limitation with a workflow that much closer to your Start to Finish part 2 video, except SAMP handles the instance linking internally and there are like 160 possible instances with integrated meters. I still want Spherix for my inventory of tools but SAMP's price is a no-brainer.

So did you place the plug-in on a “master” track in pro tools ? That you made 7.1.2 ?

Yes that’s exactly right.

@AlexProMix thanks Alex. Appreciate the response .. Makes sense.. was hoping to see an atmos option from Izotope in the new version. Now I understand why aside from dolby nobody gets to make the atmos mastering stuff .. thanks again

It’s not a simple WAV editor application like we’ve seen over 20 years :) Managing large ADM files is a big task.

Just a 7.1.2 compressor, like many that already exists.

I'm amazed this isn't just part of ProTools channel strip too! I can only assume ProTools doesn't have multichannel FX built-in? In other DAWs the native FX are often multichannel and will work on any Atmos track or bus up to 9.1.6 width.
