I've been servicing domestic and professional electronics for over 45 years and in that time I have encountered semiconductors of all sorts that measure perfectly on a multimeter and on a component tester but fail when in circuit. I have learned never to trust the results from any one piece of equipment, or even several pieces of equipment. Most will not test a part under dynamic conditions which is of course what's happening when in circuit.
