yes i get the same problem sometimes, not sure why exactly ? Using hot wax is another method.

you can put food coloring in the wax to make it more visable

Nice brush work Simon. Do you revisit the bisque firing for these so you glaze over the decoration? Hard to tell on the pics.

No these are done raw with no bisque, glaze over the slip and wax dec but all raw.

Does raw glazing have to be done in reduction at cone 10? I have an electric kiln at cone 6

Reduction firing cannot be done in an electric kiln. Raw glazing and once firing can be done in either electric firing or gas/ oil/ wood firing. Reduction can be done at cone 6 and 10.

@@sleachpots Thanks for getting back to me. So I can raw glaze at cone 6 in my electric kiln. I am so excited about the saving on the electricity. Woo Hoo!!!
