WAXING MY FACE FOR THE FIRST TIME - GONE HORRIBLY WRONG!

I've used the Veet Easy Gel Face Wax for Normal skin in this video, these are meant to be delicate on the facial skin and NOT cause such irritations and problems but you can already see what happened here.
I'm never going to wax my face again, that's for sure. I mean, I love my tinkle razors and bleaches! Atleast they don't burn me or leave me with huge painful bumps. Also, the hair coming back thicker from razors is a myth. It's tried and tested.

I understand how you feel in this video girl. I threaded my face a few days ago and went through the exact same thing. I got bumps all over my face and it was swollen and then filled with pimples. To combat it, I used aloe Vera gel and then after the redness went down, I used pimple treatment to get rid of the pimples how I would normally do. Don’t worry girl, it’ll go away soon! And you still look beautiful as ever ❤️

You must never apply ice directly to a burn, but instead, wrap a cloth or flannel around an icepack or ice cubes. The cloth should then be pressed against the burn, reducing swelling and soothing the pain.

Fatima, the SAME THING happened to me using Veet face wax strips! And you know what helped? Generously applying baby powder before waxing. The wax strip grips onto the skin and it actually peels off the skin while pulling off the strips, which is why this happens. And which is why it hurts. I waxed without baby powder or very less baby powder in certain areas and this exact thing happened. Then I waxed other areas with generous amount of baby powder. Trust me the results were really good then. That’s because the wax did not stick to the skin and only sticked to the hair. I hope this helps. Thank goodness I learnt this and only harmed my skin, before I waxed my little sister’s upper lips. If I had done that to her, my mom would have killed me, and they would have never trusted me 😂

Let me tell you what more you could’ve done 1. You NEED to tighten your your skin real nicely to help with pulling off the hair easily and to not to make it sag 2. You should always soothe the waxed skin immediately with a clean part of the strip. People use hands but using the back of strip not only prevents bacteria from irritating your skin, but it will get any wax residue, as well 3. NEVER, and I can’t stress this enough, NEVER wax the same facial area twice in the same hour of wax session. Your face and underarms are the most sensitive!! 4. The wax isn’t supposed to drip off the the stick or melt on the strip. If it does, its TOO hot for your skin to handle!! 5. Did I say, NEVER WAX THE SAME sensitive (face and underarms) AREA TWICE?

@@farheenansari1012 its best if you just use a non-fragrance lotion (not even mint) and keep on moisturizing the area every 3-4 hours. Sit in front of an AC or fan. Also, don’t sweat or do any exercise. Just use this time to relax. Some people might suggest using aloe vera gel but it doesn’t work for me and it irritates my skin even more. So, relax your moisturized burnt skin in front of a fan and the burnt part will flake off in 2-3 days.

@@amnahashmi2876 I am not a physician so I would recommend going to a doctor if the skin feels like burning. When I wax my face after some time, the skin color is much whiter than it was before. If you are noticing that its just a skin color difference (no burning sensation, at all) it might just be because the facial hair (which are dark) have been removed from that part along with any built up dust. It is completely fine. What I do is, I just wax my entire face with caution to match the color difference and the white color just fades away into a more natural tone in a few days. If you think it is something more serious, go to a dermatologist!

Quick trick which definitely works. Apply powder before - wax - use their oil strips to get off the left over wax/coconut oil also works - then wash face with a face wash then reapply powder on the clean skin. I have super sensitive skin and this definitely works for me every time. Yes your skin might get red but it subsides within 2-3 hours and no bumps.

Aoa Fatima. This happens to me alot, almost every time face waxing resulting acne all over my face. Here are my some recommendations : First of all you need to test first on small patch on your inner side of arm before testing anywhere else because everyone has different skin types and wax react on them differently. Secondly before waxing one should try icing their face. This will help reduce acne or redness after wax. Thirdly one must apply after wax lotion immediately after waxing.

If u really wanted to wax ur face.... U ve go for Brazilian wax or any wax which is for sensitive areas... And yes i also suffered the same with honey wax.... And yes before going under any procedure like this.... U can ve allegra tablet 1-2 tablet and for nw u can do following 1. Rub ice on your face as frequently as u can 2. U can use Diprobate RD cream... It ll remove the redness from ur face and apply only on red areas 3. Apply zinc calamine lotion... It ll sooth and calm ur skin. And please dont forget to apply suncreen and avoid sun as much as u can. And yes dnt apply Diprobate cream and zinc calamine together. After 30 min - 1 hr... Wash ur face with normal water and then apply zinc calamine lotion. Use mild cleanser on face. Trust me it ll help u alot.... It was prescribed to me by dermatologist and trust me it got fine within 3 days.... If still persist consult dermatologist 👍

It’s best if you put a good amount of baby powder on top of the area your going to wax before you apply the wax. It will remove the hair and hurt your skin a bit less. Also after removing the wax hold your skin with your hand for a couple seconds until the pain starts to go away.

I can relate to this ..last year the same month we planed vacations to spend in kpk .. just one day before i waxed my skin with veet body stripes and that was for the first i was using stripes on my skin .and i had acne (seeded ones) also . as my skin got clear at that time and the stripes also pull out so many seeds from my acnes .. i was happy ..but then my face start itching and burning 🔥. . Oh my god .. i dont even knew what to do .. the next morning i realized that the stripes not just pulled out hair and acnes but also my skin upper layer 😰 there i start worrying sooo much .. next day we left for kpk for a week with family and frnds also .. and that whole week was proved to be disaster for me .. i enjoyed nothing just bcoz of my worsssttt skin .. thank God for the camera filters that the pictures are some how good 😄😆 the day when we were returning back to home the redness was turning out to be black areas everywhere on my skin .. 😢😢 i couldn't even sit before someone .. it took months for me to get back my clear skin just using a cream (Fuskin-H) provided by my skin dermatologist uncle ... 😊 Now I have a clear skin alhamdulillah. . hi guys, i do know that this was uploaded a few months ago but for anyone who recently has burned their face from using wax strips please know that it will hurt and itch but their are many things you can do to help reduce the pain and reduce the scarring: 1. DON'T ITCH IT!!!! 2. Use aloe vera gel constantly whenever you can, especially in the mornings before putting on any type of makeup, and in the night time before you sleep. Additionally, after washing your face try to apply aloe vera gel too. 3. Use vitmain e oils, you may even find it useful to mix it in with aloe vera gel. 4. Vaseline along with aloe vera and vitamin e oil is also a really good recommendation. 5. Change your pillow sheet once in a while to prevent germs and bacteria entering your burn. 6. Try not to use makeup/ very minimal. Using makeup will only make it worse and longer to heal . 7. Don't wax your face anytime soon after as your skin will be highly sensitive. 8. Moisturise daily with acid free face lotions as it will soothe the burn and not sting your face. 9. Drink water to help your body take in moisture to prevent your skin from drying. Depending on your burn, healing can take up anywhere from a week- a few months, so please be patient and calm and continue following these steps, i promise you'll see the difference shortly. Dearest Fatima you are a sweet person. I hope your skin is doing better. There were few mistakes which you made. 1) there is a certain growth you need for waxing hair not to long not to short. Your side burns were really heavy, usually people in salon shred the hair to some extent so the client doesn’t have pain neither gets excessive redness. So basically the long hair caused more redness (not your fault as you did not know about it) 2) instead of using ice you should have used aloevera gel (fresh) which keeps the skin much calm down and takes away the redness also doesn’t create any acne. 3) next time dear do not go for waxing if it doesn’t suit you. Go for something in which you are comfortable. Now the main point: there are bloggers who would do a quick review which mahroosha did on her KZbin but her video was not as detailed as yours was neither she came up with second day. No matter if the product works for you or it doesn’t bloggers/influencers should tell (like you did) that even after so many hours how did the product work be it anything. When GLAM LIFE GURU ( TATI ) or JS they do hourly check in. I don’t know why Pakistani bloggers/influencers don’t do that. I’m glad you came up with this video. Also I know you would never go for waxing ever but if you plan to then pls instead of these veet strips try the “Rica Brazilian Avocado Wax” which is great for face, underarms and underlegs and I have been using it since past 4 years. It never breaks out my skin and is not so harsh on me also doesn’t pain like other normal waxes. I hope your skin is better now. Lots of love

Hey! I’ve been using Veet strips since around 10-12 years and I’m completely satisfied with the imported ones. Local ones doesn’t work on my hair or anybody’s hair because those are just crap. Anyways, it’s mentioned in the pack to run a test on any body part before applying it directly to the face, I hope you checked the instructions.

Hi friends, licensed Esthetician here. Strip wax is another name for soft wax. It's not intended for the face. Strip wax adheres to the hair AND skin, making it OK for use on the back, legs & arms. Everything else (underarms, bikini area, face, chest) needs to be waxed with hard wax. Hard wax only adheres to the hair, not the skin. Visit your local spa and have them wax your face and avoid the pain, bumps & irritation 😊 P. S. I used these too before I was licensed and educated. I super hairy like you BUT I have never dared to wax my face personally for facial hair removal I prefer threading their are different techniques for threading just find the one which works for you and it won't hurt as much at all when waxing other sensitive parts of your body use BRAZILLION WAX or get it done by a PROFFESIONAL keep your skin tight while waxing and use BABY POWDER and wax in an AIR CONDITIONED room or infront of a FAN if you sweat alot and last but not the least don't wax the same area twice if it's VERY RED or is BURNING!

I mix polysporin (antibacterial) to kill any bacteria left and Mebo (burn scar cream) immediately after I rinse my face with cold water, I repeat that for 3 days until the burning subsidies, then I continue with my regular routine. Also, quick point - to anyone who has done this for the first time and has had a similar reaction, soak a face towel in cold water and wring out the excess water. Lie down and put it on your face, pressing into all the areas that feel hot. The towel will heat up - soak again and put it on your face again. Repeat for at least 30-40 minutes (longer if you need to) - that should take down any swelling, heat, bruising etc.

Di once I had a severe allergy with small bumps in my whole skin and cheeks so I tried this random pack, with elaichi powder(1 tsp),honey(1 and 1/2 tsp), lemon juice (4 drops only)and rose water(2tsp) just make it liquidy and apply the water don't apply the powder let it stay for good 15 to 20 minutes and use it for 3 days. It really helped me. Hope it does the same 2 u. Just apply the water do not apply the elaichi powder in the pack. And also dont apply a thick layer apply a thin layer.😊

Trim your hair before you wax, so you're not taking out a lot directly from the roots..this can also cause bleeding. Apply soothing oil or gel right away and never was the same area twice!! Hold skin tightly and pull when you wax, And DO NOT touch your face after you wax.

I think if you really wanna wax your face go for sugar wax which you can make at home with all natural ingredients. I do this since years & it works just fine.

@@asmamukaty3450 You can make it in stove, but I make it in a microwave. I take a heat resistant glass bowl and add a cup of sugar, a cup of water and a tea to 2 tea spoons of lemon juice. Mix it well, if the water feels too much you can remove some water from the top as the sugar will rest at the bottom. Then by 30 seconds each time, I microwave it for total 8-12 minutes (the time varies for different microwaves). Then let it cool down. After it has cooled down, apply it in the opposite direction of your hair growth and take a piece of cloth strip and place it on top of it, then pull it on the direction of hair growth. The face can be a little red afterwards but within an hour it'll go away. Afterwards, you can apply aloe gel or something soothing if you want. I'm sorry this happened to you and hopefully it has cleared up. But see, firstly from seeing the way you were handling the whole process it was quite evident that there wasn't any precautions or research done from your side before waxing. Please please do good research before attempting something like especially on sensitive areas like face. The techniques used, the precautions to be followed(like not waxing repeatedly on the same area, making sure not to wipe on the waxed area with your hands like u did throughout the video, not applying ice directly on face) and post wax care is SO important. Without following or finding out any of it how do you expect it wont turn out this way? Especially since its obvious that its a risky area?! And for someone like you who says she overacame acne problems after a lot of struggle it is common sense that you'd be more careful and well researched before experimenting on your face again?!! Please either do it carefully or dont even try it at all and avoid these obvious outcomes. For anyone who's gone through this, Fusidic cream helps with wax burns very quicly. Its available in pharmacies and is a life saver!

Veet wax strips are the worst strips I have ever used. And u shud never apply ice immediately after waxing, it can blacken ur skin. Akways use soothing lotion and an antibacterial cream like fucidin for two days to prevent breakouts. Use Lubnas wax strips they r the best

I have done my waxing with these strips.. why this is happen to you? Because you have applied wax strips twice or many times.. if you applied these strips again and again on your face it will scratch out first layer of your skin.
