One of my more fond memories of drill weekends in the Navy Reserve was going back to the Little Creek BEQ in the evening and hearing the musicians practice. Covering a Crusaders/Wilton Felder is always a good bet

I just came across an article on UNM's website about Jared. I was delighted to see that he was related to you. This video was linked and now here I am. I was a student of yours back around 91'-93'. You were always one of my favorite teachers even though I may not have shown or told you at the time. You really made an impact in my life. Your patience and the way you connected with your students was a huge reason why I continued to play in band through high school. You and my high school teacher (Mr. Fessinger) were my favorite teachers. I was lucky enough to run in to him about 5 years ago and tell him how much his education meant. I had a tough time in middle school and I always looked forward to your class. I hope you are doing well and it's awesome to see that your passion in music was passed on to your son.
