I've love this song since my youth 16, growing up in Detroit, Michigan, in the Jeffries projects, playing chess, sipping some wine, toking on a few joints, and baby it was on relaxing my mind, body and soul as I dreamed my way out of there. Now I'm 64 and back where the ancestors started GA and farming just like them. Way back home and still listening to the World Famous Jazz Crusaders' timeless music. Thank you Jazz crusaders for the wonderful memories

Only 31 now, I was introduced to this song back in 2005, I was to play it in a solo competition playing the Flugal horn for the Cullinan Fieldband. My dad came to watch me rehearse, and that afternoon remains a key memory in my life.

I can't get enough of listening to such a very beautiful soulful song. Great job by Joe Sample, for I have missed his genius playing the piano. Wayne Henderson is great as always on trombone. Gerald Albright has been around and did a great job filling some really big shoes. I haven't shared this performance with one single person without having all of them saying nothing short of a beautiful song/cut. I kid you all not, I listen and watch this performance daily as it touches my soul and heart with joy. I mainly listen to it right before bedtime. May you continue to rest in peace, brother Joe Sample...✌🏾✊🏾❤🙏🏾

I remember my uncles (God rest their Souls in Peace). Those were the days when men would put on polished shiny Florsheim shoes, Brentwood trousers, Silky shirts and Fedora Manhattan hats. Those were the days when jazz music was a staple of township entertainment. When apartheid kept black people in enclosures of socio-economic limits, black people had music and music kept us strong. Music gave us hope, music gave us peace, music gave us strength, music gave us fun times, music kept us together and those were the good old days, the days when black people had nothing but we had everything. Gone are the good old days.
