“Way Maker” with Sarah Kroger from the National Eucharistic Congress

In my mind, I keep going back to this moment from last week. Singing “light in the darkness” to the Light of the world in a pitch black room.
Many of you have reached out saying you were so bummed that you couldn’t attend the National Eucharistic Congress, so I wanted to share this snippet from the Saturday night adoration. You can hear me, but you won’t see me - all the focus was on Jesus.
For those who aren’t familiar, adoration of the Blessed Sacrament is a practice that Catholics have participated in for over 1,000 years. I won’t give you a Catholic doctrine lesson here ;) but what is most worth knowing about this is that we believe Jesus is truly present in what appears to be bread and wine. And last week in Indianapolis, a stadium full of people gathered around Jesus, who was placed on the 50 yard line in a golden monstrance (from the Latin ‘monstrare’ meaning ‘to show’), and you could hear a pin drop in the moments of silence between songs. He looks at us as we look at Him. He speaks and we listen, we speak and He listens.
I believe he moved, healed, and revived tens of thousands of people at the congress last week and I hope we all can carry that movement, healing and revival to all the places we go and the people we encounter along the way. Thanks to my friend Matt Maher for the invitation to sing. I was so honored to be in the room.

I was there. This made me cry. I cried a lot, to be fair - every Mass and every Adoration - but this really hit hard. It was one of my favorite songs when I was an evangelical, and now as a Catholic, it hits even harder. "Even when I don't see it, you're working, even when I don't feel it, you're working" - Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament completely recontextualizes those lines! So good. Let's bring the revival back home, y'all.

100% I'm crying reliving this moment. It's a week later but I'm still continuing the revival. I'm cradle Catholic. But this song hits home. When I was deployed in 2022, there was a multi-faith Chapel. I went into the adoration room for silent prayer. While I was in adoration, I could hear the evangelicals were holding their worship and singing, this song came up during a personal moment of mine. It was like God answering me directly. BEING at Congress brought be back there in the moment. Like God said, "I didn't forget you" So many tears over those 5 days. And not sad tears either.

@@KyLe-qt4br NOT a yearly event. In the closing remarks they are looking to hold the next National Eucharistic Congress in 2033. Pray for one sooner. You just need to listen to the bulletins. I only knew of this Congress 'cause my friend's hometown was Indianapolis so she was inviting the Young Adults in our parish group to stay with her family. But it looks like they're want to do a least Eucharistic pilgrimages yearly. Tentatively, 2025 Indianapolis to Los Angeles around Corpus Christi (June).

@@KyLe-qt4br Not yearly, sadly. This was the 10th National Eucharistic Congress in Indianapolis last week. It was the first event of its kind since 1941, I believe, with a similar international event in the 70s. They're planning the next one for 2033.

Former protestant pastor and worship leader here! Was just confirmed and received into the Catholic Church last year at Pentecost 🙌 This moment at the NEC was so significant for me... I used to remind the congregations I was leading in worship music that our team wasn't "putting on a concert" and singing for them, that we were all singing together for an audience of One! Fast forward to this moment and here we were singing one of the songs I used to lead to that very One, fully present in the room with us, all lights and all attention on Him. There is no confusion about who we are worshipping in Adoration! It is the fulfillment of what my heart longed for as a worship leader!

I was blessed to have been able to attend! My profound joy in adoration, while worshiping through this beautiful song of praise, is comparable to nothing else I have experienced. My tears poured out, uncontrollable, yet, so welcomed! Thank you, Sarah, for lending your voice to lift ours and lead us in worship! Couldn't be there but binge watched the whole congress. Cheered, cried and dropped to my knees along with the 60,000 in attendance. Sarah, you did a fantastic job. In the airport another participant showed me a picture of the Monstrance with a ray of light from an upper window in the stadium shining straight down on the Monstrance. Everyone will know that our lord Jesus he never abandon his children, he is so near us more than we think , only if men would actually believe in Gods words and accept him as the real bread that comes from heaven to sanctify us 🙏🥲 Jesus he is the way the truth and the life and there he is in the blessed sacrament real in Body, blood , soul and divinity by the Holy Spirit . We believe in the God of the impossible all powerful and there is nothing impossible to God so learn feeble men and know that your ways are way different from Gods ways and don’t ask how this could be? No way God he is not really there? Well didn’t Jesus said very clearly unless you don’t eat my flesh you don’t have life in you? I’m the true bread that comes from heaven, and my beloved Jesus said that this is my body that will be handed over to you eat from it and this is my blood the new covenant so don’t argue with the world but accept your lord Jesus who died for you and me to redeem our sins, how do you want to nourish your spirit and your soul and body if you don’t eat his flesh? Do you think just by accepting Jesus only by words you’ll be saved? Really?? So his crucifixion, death and resurrection was just in vain? No, my brothers and sisters, he came to fulfill the old to the new covenant and not to abolish what was already made by the father in heaven which was his old covenant with Abraham our father with his church teachings and his laws given to Moises and now Jesus comes to fulfill the old to the new and now he is the high priest and the head from his church, because he is the only holy of holies and we are his mystical body of Christ when we participate the holy mass the super of the lord it is s feast with the heavens and the earth and we receive his body and blood to purify and to sanctify our souls and here is the mercy and the grace of God 🙏❤️😊🙌

Read John 6 in scripture. Catholics do not worship the sun. As someone who is Catholic, I believe in worshipping the triune God only. It says in scripture that the Lord Jesus gave his body and blood to the world, which is true food and true drink, according to him in the Bible. Also - Christ said in scripture “I am with you always to the end of the age.” Sounds to me like this is all evidence for Christ being in the Eucharist, not the sun being there. @@luisaz8990 The Catholics worship everything God tells us not to worship, not only the Sun, The Catholics even changed the day that God blessed and sanctified Gen 2:3. Which is Saturday, not Sunday. Sunday is called Sunday, Sunday was named Sunday by the pagans who worshipped the Sun. God condemns all kinds of idols, including the image of the Sun. Exodus 20:4. "Take a good look at this podcast picture. It's the image of the Sun, with 2 candles on either side.
