The big reason why sorin was banned was because everytime WOTC is gonna release a new shiny vampire, they'll have people slamming it on the field t3 which would make more problems. Amalia is one of the most obnoxious decks I've ever seen (especially in arena where the explore triggers take forever to resolve).
