TBF, while frogs are typically associated with water, the Bulbasaur line leans heavily towards the toad end of things and the frogs we tend to call toads that are bumpy and hefty like that are often found in grass or logs or leaves. I find them in my yard and outside in general all the time, usually amongst plants. So for a toad it does make sense to connect it more to plants than to water, especially as you’ll find them much farther away from any water than other frogs, and really just about anywhere. They also tend to have coloration that helps them camouflage amongst plants because of this.

@SlakSquad i'll never understand that either, sure i get it that sometimes you want to give yourself a challenge and all but for me Bulbasaur and it's evolution line "at least in both Gen 1 and it's remakes" makes up for good coverage among any team buildup i do in those games.
