Jeep Gladiator Truck Overlander on 40 Tires by EVO Off Road Testing at Moab Easter Jeep Safari

It was about 2 weeks ago to the day that Cindy and I first laid eyes on EVO Manufacturing's brand new and bone stock, Jeep Gladiator Sport. And it was just yesterday, here at the Moab Easter Jeep Safari that we finally got to see it completely transformed and into the beast of a truck that it is today. In addition to running an EVO 6" coil lift on short arms, King shocks, Dana UD60 axles and 40" Nitto Trail Grapplers mounted on KMC Machete beadlocks, this JT pickup is also wearing EVO bumpers front and rear, rocker guards a bed rack complete with roof top tent and every overlanding doodad they think to put on it. In this video, you'll get to see what this awesome pickup looks like now and take a walk around it with Mel Wade to get a close up look at all it's goodies. Oh, did I mention that we also got a chance to take it out on it's very first shakedown run? Yup, you'll get to see some of that too and we hope you enjoy what you see.

I’ve already talked to them on the phone. Next fall I’ll be dropping off a diesel sport S for their magic sauce. With a 250 mile range off road, THAT will be an overland right. Next step is going over the right bump so that the emissions stuff falls out and a tune. Gonna be a long year of waiting haha

That Gladiator didn't get hung up anywhere.. amazing build! If I decide to go more extreme on my JT overland build I will 100% go bigger suspension and 40s. Currently running 35s and 2.5'' inch lift. This rig is ridiculous! All the yota fanboys and trolls are hiding now that the JT has shown what it can do

Thanks for putting this together. It really showcases what a proper-focused built JT can do. I especially liked the explanation of using the standard T-case vs. that of the Rubi T-case. EVO looks like they have put a lot of thought into functionality with this new platform and I look forward to seeing their entire product line. Seriously good filmography by letting us SEE what it can do without to much commentary. Keep it up man.

@@redbeard3303 So that Jeep does not have lockers? I don't remember the sports having lockers. The way the Jeep was just crawling, I thought lockers might have been engaged for it to just crawl so effortlessly. I guess they did jot factor out labor cost since they were the ones doing all the labor. Also, maybe the parts they bought were all bought at cheaper cost because they as a company get better rates for parts. I would be a bit surprised if this thing costs less than $100,000.

The sport package does not have lockers but the Dana spicer 60 they put under it does have lockers if I remember correctly.

The Gladiator is going to be a huge seller, particularly here in South Africa where overlanding is 95% of what we do with our vehicles. Glad the shake down run went well so now you guys can go do a three week overland trip with out putting it on a trailer....hahaha. Why not the Ecodiesel engine? Jeep claims the Gen3 ecodiesel engine is much improved from the first 2 generations, and is specifically targeting offroad use. I had the Gen1 in a Grand cherokee, got as much as 36mpg hwy doing 75mph, but did have problems with the DPF system. In and out of shops several times, technicians were not familiar with the new engines so traded it in for a JKU. But now thinking of getting another ecodiesel. Loved the power and mpg's.
