Yeah I agree. It's really easy for people to be judgmental. Was she far too young to become a mother? Yes. Did she make an irresponsible decision? Yes. Are there hardships she is going to face as a result of that decision? Absolutely. Those things are all true and can't be undone now. What she can do however, is the next right thing. Just in the short context of this show she strikes me as someone with a good head on her shoulders, especially for her age. She isn't up there acting love sick and using her baby to get the guy she feels rejected by to pay attention to her. She is handling a bad situation with a level head, maturity, and grace. Being a teen mom is a difficult road, but I have a feeling she is strong, capable, and will ultimately be a good mother.

He's a scumbag through and through, but he is also the child's father. You make a bad decision by getting pregnant by him, don't make a chain of bad decisions in a short time period (sleeping with another man in around the same time, also revenge cheating after that) which was followed by moving an hour and a half away from the man you say is your child's father. He doesn't have the means to even see the child because traveling is an added expense, but I guess she's fine with that and him just simply sending money and not being involved in the child life. Think of it this way. Let's say he has 50 dollars. If they lived in the same town, he could get a ride there, take her the 50 dollars, and then spend time with his child. Since she moved far away, he now has to spend that 50 dollars on a bus ticket to see his child, but do you think she's going to allow him to show up empty handed just to see his child? I highly doubt it. Point being, if you are sure he's the father of your child, don't move so far away then complain you're struggling and he won't financially help out without seeing his child. Not only does it make it harder for even a decent guy (again, he's not) to be in his child's life, but it creates doubt when there are other possible men in the picture, then you get yourself a new man and then move far away. Being pregnant as a teen is already a bad decision, and she obviously had zero guidance or solid advice with her decision making after that.

I'm going to play devil's advocate here, the fact is that both are too young to have babies, she is more mature, but he's certainly not the worst guy like Steve was making him out to be. We've all seen way worse on this show, and at least he's not denying that they hooked up and he is wanting to get to know his kid. There's always two sides, but regardless, he will need to step up emotionally and financially. She'll also need to do her part and not get pregnant again, at least until she's able to support her kids without the help of our government.

And of those 13 states where it is 18, half of them have exceptions, like Florida. In Florida, 16-23 is legal, then once you turn 24, then your partner has to be 18+

Couple things I wanna mention, 1st. The guy is disgusting for sleeping with a minor when he knew, and for being a dead beat good for nothing father. 2nd. The girl is dumb for lying about her age and should have kept her legs closed in the first place when she knew that(minors/teenagers are at fault but it mainly the parents fault for not teaching them properly, meaning her parents could potentially be at fault so who knows) 3rd. The parents are at most fault for not teaching them better
