Actually a good change , I hope for Airship to do well ! They received no payments from DE , overall a Distinct and original theme for this game is a good play , and Single player was honestly a better move MMOs just suck now a-days and I would rather play a game that works with my own schedule

I think it barely fell into the mmo category, i think one of biggest mistakes was allowing that label to be put on it.

I know I was paying for a game I got in love with the mmo word in it and artsyle, music and having furry characters in it and other type of nightmarish characters as seen in the art. And I do love single player games, however I struggle with souls like/action combat games and even playing warframe I was expected I could enjoy a dungeon/boss crawler game with my best efforts even being carried by other players. I want to play the new solo experience but my real life friends won’t buy this game, was going to be f2p and almost convince some of them to play and try, now that’s gone. Mixed feelings, love the game but how can I enjoy a game I cannot beat or can’t play with others if it not story driven which makes the whole purpose of my type of games. Even knowing what DE did it’s hard to go back to warframe, feel between the sword and the wall? If I could get a refund I possibly want that and invest the money in other solo games I want to play and know I’m gonna enjoy as sol o experience. Thanks for the news DeathMonkey💚🌟

Yesterday we were talking to one of the staff members. So.... Airship didn't receive any money from sales of this game which includes the pre-orders like the founders pack, everything went to DE. Unfortunately, DE was taking care of the online part and because of the separation they got two choses, shut the game down forever or do a singleplayer.

Im all for this tbh, I wasnt even interested in the game at first. Another f2p mmorpg, gee hurray. But now its transition to an offline, single player game with optional co op which is better anyways, cant believe there are people who just cant understand that it was either this, or shutting the game down entirely. Or maybe they would have just preferred it shut down entirely, which is fucked up, because there are alot of mmo's I hope go the offline single player game route when they shut down inevitably.

They said no micro transactions and DLC now but never said so they will be some coming in the future if it goes well maybe even mod supporting Guess they want to pull a No Man Sky plan i am disappointed with PS5 getting later but I hope it turns out well

Right i don't know what DLC would entail, if they go the no mans sky route it would just be updates bringing in new stuff without additional cost. The whole PS5 stuff is really unfortunate.

Hah I called it from the very beginning that it's turning single-player, and some discorders said I was crazy. Sad I paid 150 for this, but still better than nothing I guess.

@@DeathMonkeyXL Well, both Solid and Snarf kept saying the game is gonna stay with us "forever" after it changes from the very foundation. Most MMOs die pretty quickly, so the only logical conclusion was that it's losing the online status.

I think they are saying it has to be Sony or Digital Extremes because that’s who got paid from those sales. If i can get some more concrete news about it, I’ll get an update out.

I..don't think so. I think they added in an Anti cheat so maybe it wont allow certain files to be altered. not sure how it works

I paid for the EXPENSIVE original version. I knew what I was doing. I was betting for an MMORPGish type of experience. So to me anything different will be sad -_- And there are LOTS of games like "Wayfinder ECHOES" defines itself. And I can not see why I should play Wayfinder instead.

That's the thing. You were "betting" that it'll be exactly what you expect it to be when the game is just in early access. At that time a LOT could be changed and you simply just lost that bet. Lesson learned: Don't pay for a game that isn't officially out.

Honestly just happy the game will exist in some form, and that it'll be on the xbox means I will actually get to play. I know this isn't ideal and isn't what I wanted, but I think it's the right move. Hopefully they can build from here or another game in the future. I'm just happy it isn't just disappearing. I think there can be a really cool story and I want to see where it can go.

Nah man, people literally gave them money for early access… Early access means the game is in heavy debelopment and its players actively help shaping the game… Im one of the players of the early access, i couldnt be happier for this game going solo, the multiplayer part was the only bad part to me.

From my understanding A.S doesn't have a server infrastructure all that stuff was the remnants of whatever the publisher had going on but they are claiming they fixed all the bugs so I guess we will see. I'll probably break something like always......
