Wayne doesn't get talked about at all (outside of die hard Jets fans). He was such a fun player to watch. Sucks his career had to end the way it did.

I have thoughts about this of late. I wondered if he would have had the same career in todays NFL (concerning the concussions.) I think that he would have sacrificed some playing time over the years and played a few more seasons! His body was fine in 2005: Kotite was right he WAS a “tough son-of-a…”

that Buccs Jets game back then is engrained in my mind forever. Wayne was my favorite player from the day I went to my first game. unfortunatelyt i was there on his very last. :( but awesome to see wayne. GODFATHER OF THE SLOT. Had no idea but i fucking love it.
