I can't watch a video without bothering Jeff with a video suggestion. You mentioned equivoque (equivoke), I think that would make a good theme for a video. What little I know is a few bits and pieces I've seen from Max Maven but it interests me and I think having an intimate knowledge of it would be a valuable tool to have. What are the best works and movers and shakers out there on the topic.

Love Wayne Dobson, just his personal history alone is fascinating. Very creative and inspirational guy. Wayne's Exchange is a great routine.

@@EruditeMagic I also got to thinking about a video I saw of him performing the tossed deck while in the wheelchair. He had some great bits of patter, I wonder if any of that is in the book(s) Upon seeing the rest of the video I guess there is.

I got my Dobson books today. I’m a little mad because they showed up today and my wife brought the box in the house. That means I got into trouble for buying more magic books. Lol. As soon as I brought them to my magic room, I realized this video was ready. Now I’m off to open these books and start thumbing. lol Thank you for putting this video together so quickly. You are awesome! I have several of his packet tricks and they are so much fun and humorous. Wayne is awesome! His scripting is so entertaining and funny.

@@EruditeMagic I have no excuses left after all the Magic stuff I’ve bought over the years. Lol I’m finally going to let go of some of the stuff that I bought from an older gentleman that got out of Magic. He had collected stuff for 60 years. There are 50 big banana boxes from the grocery store that are full of magic. I have a problem with buying Magic books and other things. I need to go to Magic anonymous. Lol.

Sure! 📷: I use a couple of Canon Mirrorless DSLRs (primary is Canon M6 MII and side angle is Canon M50 MII) 💡: 2 Softboxes (amzn.to/3R6nvqF) 🎙️: Shure Super 55 (amzn.to/47IGm29) 🎛️: Rodecaster Duo audio interface (amzn.to/46IHt0n) I built up all of this over time as I earned a little income. I started with my Android phone and a cheap lapel mic. It's been fun to grow and try new techniques. Oh, and I edit on a Mac using Davinci Resolve. That's where the real magic happens 😉

@@EruditeMagic That's impressive. I first heard of Davinci Colour Correction over 30 years ago. A nice tourist came into the hotel where our news bureau was (Atlantic Canada) and was curious about our setup. We were just at the tail end of the tube camera era before transitioning into CCDs. I had mentioned the problem of not white balancing a camera and he mentioned that he was an editor for CBS' 60 Minutes and that they used Davinci (which I had never heard of) to fix things like colour correction. He told me his name and I made sure to check out the credits on 60 Minutes that week and sure enough he was there. Anyway, glad to hear you are using Resolve (had you done any editing before). Are you using the free version?

Can you tell me more about mentalism incorporated by chuck hickok ?

This isn't really the forum, but it's a very practical text if you want to perform mentalism for corporate-type audiences. Mr. Hickok advocates for a clear progression of believability; that is, start with the most believable item, and work your way up to the most impossible as the climax of the show. Of course, he teaches the routines that work for him in these spots, as well as a bunch of practical advice along the way.

Well, I saw a KZbin video on Wayne Dobsons talking from his wheelchair. A very interesting person. Then Vanishing Inc. sent an e-mail just after I finished watching Wayne Dobsons video. They were offering his books for $99.95 for a 24-hour period. So, it was a no brainer to purchase it right away. Some facts the three books weight in at 8.4 pounds and the wrapping has a sticker stating "18+ Contains Adult Language." Not sure if you mentioned that in your review? I do miss those days of 10% off on Don's books but I did manage to spend over $250 or so last year thanks to his 10% off deals and your great reviews. Since watching your reviews over the last few years. I think I spent over a grand on books just because of your reviews. Take care and Be Safe.

Jeff is a great salesman :) But as I found out personally, it's easy to be a good salesman when you have a great product. I promised myself I wouldn't buy any new books until I had read all the ones I already have. Gene Anderson, Martin Lewis and now Wayne Dobson, Jeff you are making this tough!

🤣 That's so true! I typically try to review books in which I see a lot of good material. It's hard not to get excited about some of the epic books I've had a chance to review
