It's pretty sweet to have the place to yourself. I think your iLog is called a swedish fire log/torch. Check it out, people will set it up and use the top as a cooking surface.

Yeah I kind of figured it had a name already, it was mostly just a joke, since we couldn’t remember the real name of it we decided to rename it LOL. That place was really awesome but I wouldn’t want to be there when all ten campsites are full. Thanks Nick!

I really like that area of WNF. I hunt there a couple of weekends a year for turkey and deer. I will probably down that way to camp next weekend.
@jasonwish-4 жыл бұрын
That’s an awesome area to go hunting, so different than the small woods and rolling hills where I’m from. Hopefully you were able to get out and do some camping, beautiful weather this weekend!

It was certainly nice to have a relaxing camp out for a change, I almost forgot how much I enjoyed it! But my desire to crush the miles is creeping back LOL.

Jason I subscribe to several backpacker channels as I too am an avid backpacker. I am not a youtube producer but I sure enjoy channel. I gotta tell you however, the farm vids are my favorite. Keep the mix of hike and farm coming. Thank you and as always God Bless.

How far did you have to carry your gear from the car to campsite #4? Good thing you had all this boys to help out! Awesome family campout!
@jasonwish-4 жыл бұрын
Since the gate was shut that added about another 50 yards to our walk but it was still under 150 yards so not too bad. So glad my boys were able to join us on that one!

Are you able to drive up to the site? To use a truck bed tent? Or do you have to park in that parking area? Looks like I seen tire tracks in the video
@jasonwish-3 жыл бұрын
The sites are about 100 yards away from the parking lot. You can not drive up to the actual sites unfortunately. The tire tracks you saw were from the DNR or maintenance workers.

Wow! I will have to add this to my glamping bucket list. Those 3 sites in the groves are stunning, especially with that still lake and blue sky. Is it first come first serve or do you have to reserve ahead? Looked like a great time of relaxation ... perfect for the world today! Stay safe my friend!

That's a good question Fred, I'm not sure. Awesome place for relaxation for sure!

I crashed into a tree line during bean harvest last October and having trouble getting things soldered back together. The Mavic mini is so much better! Lots of drone flights will be appearing in all my farming and backpacking videos for now on.

Nice video Jason. We just built that section of the Buckeye Trail a couple years ago that connects to the Lamping trail. Before that, the Buckeye Trail was all on the road through that area.

Glad to see that the Buckeye Trail was able to get off the road a little bit. That’s a beautiful section. Great work on the trail and thanks for watching!

I have a question for you I recently just purchased my hunting license for a whopping sum of $19 For Ohio Is this about right or was it supposed to spend more because something might be missingthe last time I went hunting was with my grandfather and I was only 15 so I have no clue But for me hunting would strictly be rabbits squirrels all small game
@jasonwish-4 жыл бұрын
That sounds about right on cost but your guess is as good as mine as I use landowner permits for everything now and don’t really have a need to purchase a hunting license. You may have to get an additional deer permit if you go deer hunting.
@jwagnermail4 жыл бұрын
I know you thought you didn't hurt that tree with the axe throws, but it can cause disease and insect issues. You could have brought a board from home for a target - please do that next time.
@jasonwish-4 жыл бұрын
You’re right, and I thought about that while I was editing the video. Lesson learned. I let my boys know to not do that next time.
