Thanks for your videos, super interesting! What weight and type of plastic do you use for your raised beds/vegetables? Can you only use it for one season? Looking for affordable options.

So it's your anniversary and you left the wife at home to clean up the apple juice, while you go walk around having fun. No wonder why she wants to go home, I would too. Got so upset about the story in my head as to why you left her I almost Unsubscribe. 😂😂 Have fun happy anniversary
@jasonwish-
@jasonwish- 2 сағат бұрын
Haha I didn’t leave, I helped her clean the entire thing up…I must have misspoke. Now once the bulk of it was cleaned up she wanted me and the dog out of the way so she could mop it really well, maybe that’s what it was. Anyways, thanks for not unsubscribing 😁

I did a backpacking caribou hunting trip last September to the Alaskan tundra with about 2 pounds of food per day. I researched and studied and dehydrated most of my own meals and had it really dialed in and found that I had more food than I needed. It was grueling, but probably not quite as hard as your trip.

i got mine in a trade for basically $100, its the west marine version but same everything including color except black bungee cordage. i added a scotty mount and cupholder to the front part and my mandatory life jacket and whistle fits under the cordage on top of the front part. milkcrate and small cooler fits behind me perfectly and for me being 300lbs no issue. i mainly use it in the gulf near mangroves. i like the anchor trolly rope for sitting in a mangrove opening and just move the eye down to turn 120 degrees.

Would that harvester have the ability to be adjusted higher to pick beams off of a raised plastic mulch bed?

No, I do not believe it would, I think it would completely gouge into the bed even in the raised position.

1.) you cannot camp within the Pine River corridor EXCEPT at NFS campgrounds and Coolwater (private) Most land outside the NFS owned section is privately owned, no camping allowed. 2.) From Memorial Day to Labor Day you MUST have a permit to paddle the more popular sections and they are a pain to acquire, used to have a ranger station you could go get, now you order online $$. 3.) You are asked to stay OFF the river before 9 am and after 6 pm to allow anglers unfettered access. 4.) it is Good Practice to have PFDs visible and to carry a river map while on the river. Jason, I enjoy your videos, but suggest a bit more research prior to taking such a trip AND informing your audience.

Hi Jason ! I would like to know, to stay camping how much do you have to pay for the day?
@jasonwish-
@jasonwish- 5 күн бұрын
At State Park campgrounds it’s typically between $30-$40. At National Park campgrounds and Army Core of Engineer (COE) can often be free or less than $25. Private campgrounds can often be $50-$75 or even higher depending where it’s at.

It’s hard to say exactly but I’m guessing there was about five or six of us that picked for a few hours in the mornings, maybe 7 or 8 times and filled about 15 or 20 wagons. Please check out our farm channel for more farming videos: youtube.com/@wishwellfarms?si=4mDod5xrTFzkPMFX

Thanks i am doing a lower, lean, and 12 leave prune followimg your methods in wicking buckets here in austin. I'll add row cover as shade cloth on top of my trellis once we get into our 5th season "hot". Do you cool your hydroponic reservoir?
@jasonwish-
@jasonwish- 8 күн бұрын
We used to put a 35% white shade cloth over our Greenhouse tomatoes during the summer but we haven’t done it for the past 12 to 15 years and for the most part they do OK but the heat is definitely hard on them during July and August, but by mid August were harvesting out of the field and the greenhouse tomatoes become afterthought. we do not have any need to cool our reservoir, our water stays in the mid 70s even throughout the summer because it’s constantly getting refreshed with 55° well water. Please check out our Farm channel for much more detail on our greenhouse farming operation. youtube.com/@wishwellfarms?si=Che7rwOsfB0CE0mu

Hey Jack, we are the same age...I would highly recommend summiting Mt. Marcy, it was the best and it's not even as hard as several of the others that we did. It's been several years since I was there so my memory of all the of the peaks is a little foggy. I think Gothics was really cool with the cables too.

Great wrap up! I noticed you called it a "walk " more than you did a "hike" with all that road walking! My feet would be dying in my trail runners! So you got Rugged Mountain Momma to chuckle when you were getting frustrated about not being able to find your way through town. She was like... "tell us how you REALLY feel!" Looked like you about had enough with it! Then the best was when you went into the abandoned cottages.... Rugged Mountain Sister has probably watched one to many scary movies/TV shows because she was yelling... "NO DON'T GO IN THERE! THATS WHAT 'THEY' WANT YOU TO DO! Then proceeded to keep telling you to get out before you died! Hopefully the ending will be epic next year in the mountains!!
@jasonwish-
@jasonwish- 9 күн бұрын
You don’t even wanna know how I really felt ha ha! Those little shacks weren’t spooky at all during the day. My wife is really into abandon homes… we’ve never visited any but she watches it on KZbin and would if we found one. Yeah, after 15-20 miles of road my feet are usually pretty beat up especially when carrying a 20 pound pack. I wish I was able to go finish the mountain sections right now while it’s spring, but can’t get away from the farm so hopefully this fall, thanks Mark!

Beautiful,my son would go ape over those salmon darting off in front of your kayak.l am curious,what is that little stove and the fuel in the bottle you had on the first night camping dinner when you had teriyaki chicken.l am always looking for new ideas for camping,wish l was there on water unwinding.
@jasonwish-
@jasonwish- 9 күн бұрын
Yeah, the salmon were amazing, I wish I could’ve caught one and had sashimi at camp! That stove is called a cat can stove because it is made with a fancy feast can on the outside and a tomato paste can on the inside with a strip of carbon felt between them to wic up the fuel. I have found that denatured alcohol works the best, and that was just a squirt bottle that I carried the alcohol in. It’s very light, quiet and simple and there are hundreds of videos on KZbin on how to make one.

Hey Steve, about 15 years ago we grew a couple of those giant varieties that got up to about 160 pounds without even doing anything special to them. I have some interesting books on how to do it but it’s not something I do, in fact, we have decided to not grow pumpkins this year for the first time in 24 years! We may start back up again in the future, but my wife and I want to enjoy our favorite month of the year camping and traveling in October.

Thanks Steve! When I do my FKTs I repack everything into Ziploc bags, but when I know I can hang a resupply and only have to carry three days of food at a time I usually just keep it in the original packaging. I did a day hike on a section of it in the Shenandoah’s and two nights on it when hiking the Virginia Triple Crown dragons tooth and McAfee knob. I will most likely be going Sobo starting in August and finish in December.

I’ll probably add the two Scotty Mounts, and add an anchor trolley mount. I have a CreekKooler that I tow behind my Kayak and I can pull the up to the cockpit if I need something from the cooler. The CreekKooler adds additional dry storage, or you can use it as a cooler.
