Nah, 405 wanted to goad him into running against the Farmtruck for big money so he'd push his car and possibly break it, thus putting him out of the competition, they already knew the car was super fast.

Farmtruck had done massive upsets before and Wayne talked smack all across the web. With Farmtruck weighing way over 3,000lbs, it makes sense for them to push out Farmtruck who hooks on the street consistently against something they knew would have a high chance as a drift machine rather than tossing Chief's car out to lose spectacularly. So even if Farmtruck loses, they'll know what to do if anyone was to go up against Wayne.
