Once again, you guys show that fitness is more than just the "meat head, gym rat" mentality. It's a personal journey to better health. While the basics are the same for everyone, the path to success is individualized. You guys are helping more people than maybe you realize with this content. This guy was genuine and appreciative. There are tons of us out here. Please keep up the good work. It's great motivation when we get into a funk or hit a wall on our personal journeys.

I can't agree with him more. If I ever have a question about fitness I come straight here because I know they're going to give me actual information, straight up. It really is comforting.

Wait for 2 weeks before changing anything. If the scale still doesn't budge, go for a 14 day full diet break and go back to cutting.

Other than the private forum, do you ever bring callers back on a podcast for their success from following your advice? Would love to hear some episodes like that.

You talked before about the majority of your clients being female, 40+ with weight to loose after years of yo-yo dieting. I’ve listened to all the podcasts you’ve done on this topic which are great! But for me, the bit you’ve not spoken about is how that works if you have 100 pounds to loose in that situation. Because it’s such a long journey, how would you tackle it? Eg continuous calorie deficit, or diet cycling, or cut and bulk? With progressive resistance training? Any advice loud be greatly appreciated 🙏

Carnivore diet. Hands down.

Simply start resistance training and try to get a good amount of protein with a slight caloric surplus to help pack on muscle overtime. I believe they have stated that if you have lots of body fat you lose, rather than eating .6-1g of protein per lb of body weight, start with matching your protein intake with the amount of lean body mass you have. I currently have MAPS Anabolic which has been awesome for me. If you’re brand spanking new to resistance training, maybe MAPS starter will be a better investment. Best of luck to you on your fitness journey!!

@@LotsOfSoap hi, thanks for the reply. I have been resistance training now for a while and my finding that I’m not building muscle very quickly, even when eating in a surplus. I’m 49 now so my body doesn’t seem to want to do it like it did when I was younger. I have increased my protein to 140 g per day. It just doesn’t appear to be working for me in the same way. I’ve been doing this for 3 months now. Thanks Adele

They have a video about losing 100+ pounds and how it's probably closer to a 2 year journey

Plateauing at 3400cal? I’m at 2000cal flat and feel like I’m plateauing. Maybe I just need to eat more and then try cardio.

I have same concern but I am a female. Would I do the exact same thing? Anabolic, performance, then esthetic? I was 237 down to 158 and want to loose last 10 lbs of fat around lower belly and inner thighs. Everything else is good. No back fat in midsection.

Why can't he just do a re-comp? I don't understand why they tell people who are already overweight to bulk.

Wait so a 270lb guy who trains 5x per week should be eating 4500 calories? Bulking or cutting? Im at 6'5 292lbs about 25-27% bf weight training 5x per week, 3x cardio a week, and eating 2200 calories a day and just my weight loss is slowing down, ive just started to add 100 calories a day for a week in order to jump my metabolism up, any advice?
@margaretrangel72232 жыл бұрын
I’m a 5’3 female and 114lbs and eat 2200 calories. I can’t imagine 2,200 calories being enough for you even if your trying to lose weight considering how tall and active you are. How long have you been eating that calorie amount?
@ham54832 жыл бұрын
@@margaretrangel7223 i went about 4 months in the begining then plateaued, did a diet break then cut down go 1800 to get to 250 lbs, just recently did another diet break and started cutting on 2400 calories this week, trying to get to 230 or 15%bf

Your telling a overweight guy eating 3400 calories a day to eat at a surplus? That makes no sense better to lower calories to 3000 with plenty of protein and he can still build muscle and cut fat at the same time
