The Daniel shot just leaves me in awe every time. Everyone including Chronic assumed that his play was over and he wqs just giving the ball to Chronic. But he somehow gets a flip reset with 10 boost and lifts it like crazy again. He already lifted a falling ball with the preflip catch, then lifted it again a ton with his 10 boost flip reset.

@vladutsu_2 ай бұрын
Great video! High quality as always! One of my favorite outplays happened in the defense, not in the offense. Zen in his first major, on lan, with a defensive masterclass. Grand final on bracket reset, against Team BDS, alone going towards the goal while BDS counter attacks, Zen defends against a demo attempt and two shots. Might not be as flashy and impressive as a 1v3 goal, but it was a hell of a thing to do against the world champions of that time. The composure, skill, positioning and reactions while being targeted by the entire opposing team as the last line of defense was impeccable. What seemed to be an easy goal for BDS, turned out to be one of the most impressive saves I've ever seen.
@WaytonPilkin2 ай бұрын

@@WaytonPilkinwhy not joyos from 2022 London? The best 1v3 behind Daniel’s imo
@somerandomchad4692 ай бұрын
i honestly think that that zen's defensive play is pretty overrated. I already know that someone's gonna call me a hater or whatever, but you cannot tell me that BDS played that well. Seikoo goes for the demo in the freaking midfield lol. The purpose of a demo in that play is to either demo the player, or threaten the player to leave space to open the goal. By going for the demo in the midfield the latter purpose becomes useless because the defender is able to recover in time. Because of this, Seikoo either demoes Zen or misses him, which adds nothing to the counter attack. Seikoo misses Zen, and then wins the 50/50 against MM since MM was just waiting behind the ball for Seikoo to demo Zen. Of course this is just my opinion and my view on the play, if you want to start a conversation with me i'll gladly do so as long as we keep things respectful. Also, this doesnt take away anything from Zen's play, definitely an incredible defensive play especially to do during the grand finals. I just dont think that its in the conversation as one of the best saves.
@Verrkami2 ай бұрын
@@somerandomchad469 I feel like what makes this so great for me is a bit of things. 1st, it’s the grand final of his first lan (rlcs cuz he went to a lot of lans b4) and to stop a team like bds that thrashed them in the upper semis is crazy. 2nd, not a lot of people would be able to do the recovery of dodging the demo then the 50 into another recovery for the 2nd 50, it shows how talented he is outside of offense. Last thing, it should be considered a top 5 or even top 3 save of all time and not saying that it is isn’t right, it’s an magnificent play from him and bds couldn’t have done anything to stop it with zen’s intellingence. And seikoo going for the demo from the midfield isn’t stupid, he needs to gain momentum early so he has a higher chance to be supersonic and demo him which zen notices it that so he jumps over him and makes an incredible double save. Personally, I disagree
@somerandomchad4692 ай бұрын
@@Verrkami kzbin.info/www/bejne/qqqYgoGPpNuZpLs This is one of the many ranked zen videos. I was casually watching this video after the comment i wrote and i saw something familiar in the minute 5:57. It's the same play as the bds play, but look what velocity does. Zen did the same jump, same dodge, the play was the exact same as the bds one, but velocity decided to fake the demo, making zen jump, and then demoed him. Do you still think that bds couldnt have done better? I mean, your first point is true, but the second isnt imo because the recovery was definitely the easiest part in zen's save because the amount of space seikoo gave. And yea, this is a top 5 max save oat probably. But the entire second half of your comment. I already explained how bds most definitely could have done something to stop zen's intelligence (even though intelligence isnt the key factor in this save imo). And yes, Seikoo going for the demo in the midfield is stupid. You dont need to be supersonic in the midfield, only when you're about to demo the opponent. Also, i'd very much prefer him not being supersonic and bumping zen out of the way close to the net instead of going all in on the demo in the midfield. If seikoo did what velocity did in the video i linked in 5:57 zen wouldnt have been able to save it.
Another absolute banger of a video! The editing, the story-telling, the music ... all just pure class! 👏👏👏

I can vividly remember at least one of his 1v3 dribbles during Beyond the Summit (understandably that's not a serious tourney) but he surely also had some amazing full team out plays during Dreamhack Valencia. Joyo's ground to ceiling, to ground double vs. Falcons also deserves a shout, though that may have been covered in a previous video.

An understated aspect of Daniel's shot is that app jack rotated all the way back and also had full boost. This means that side of the goal is completely shut down and Chronic (also with full boost) only has to cover half the goal at most. The fact the Daniel had 10 boost at this point facing down two top tier professional players each with 10x his boost total and still managed to not just secure a goal but outplay them is astounding and secures is as one of the best goals of all time for me.
