Its funny how other players get so mad, when they get demoed in the chat, while I dont, when its part of the game like bumping is also with strategy, so in profesional 4v4 game is good to have one demoer or bumper, if there is one striker, midfielder and goalkeeper. Toxic players in chat are more annoying, than demoer is, so what is useless in demoing, when through demoing you can score some goals and so its not toxcity, if it has strategic plan behind it.

The way I see it: every player has a unique personality to themselves. As they become more comfortable with rocket league and eventually become fluent (like the pros) they eventually put their own spin on their game; similar to one’s own handwriting. Everyone has their own play style and at a professional level they become different types of super powers stemming from how creative someone is when playing at their best. Every player in this video is an example of someone who has mastered their personality in rocket league for a split second in time. Cool video!

The quality of Wayton's videos is only going up. Aside from the clean video editing and concise storytelling, the audio really really caught my attention as well; the music choice for moment introductions (and the way it cuts off into him talking), syncing music with video (like syncing beat-drops with goals, for example 08:26), the smooth usage of SFX (like slowmo sfx for emphasis 04:57), and a LOT of other details that might seem minor on their own, but definitely add up and make everything come together very nicely. I think it deserves more spotlight. I'm feeling inspired. 10/10 video.

I loved when Virtuoso was a demo machine. He tilted so many teams, it was fun to watch. :D Sad how he stopped that playstyle because people said it took no skill, etc. It was very effective! The same thing happened with Alot and his playstyle. Because they began calling him cherrypicker, cause he was often at other teams backboard etc. Playing kind of a "free" third man, with the other two doing most of the normal gameplay, him doing crazy stuff. It worked. Then he changed and started playing normally, which isn't his forte. It's sad to see. Both players had special kinds of playstyle, ruined because of insecurities.

This is objectively false. I have been playing RL since release and at no point did good players ever use goalies in 3s. Possibly an unpopular opinion: The same match that Comm got an insane play of 20 demos, we also saw or realised that NRG’s adaptability on defence can be OP and could be considered part of that skill ceiling being shattered. For perspective, NRG had at least 1 person deleted from the field for over a full minute, which meant that Comm’s genius play allowed V1 to push 2, sometimes all 3 players, into attack without consequence. Plus he’s got Beastmode on his team, one of the best attacking talents in the game. In short, a genius play that saw 20 demos should have resulted in an absolute blowout, and should have ended on 7 demos in regular time. But NRG’s insane defensive skill kept the game alive time and time again. Now for the not so unpopular opinion: It was honestly a joy to watch!

The freedom that you have in the game makes me think that it genuinely doesn't have a skill ceiling

The twitch chat during that V1-NRG series was one of the funniest things I’ve ever witnessed.

Starting to get pretty consistent with the first gen ceiling Shot. Flip resets seem so far away for me. Great video dude.

Squishy is one of my favourite players to watch. He is insane. Along with Firstkiller and Apparently Jack. All three of them blow my mind. I know there are tons of awesome players, but they the most fun to watch imo. Cool video dude. I love this type of stuff. :)

There will come a time where one single mechanic is found that was right under our noses that completely and utterly DESTROYS EVERYTHING that we know about the game currently. Nobody knows when this might happen, but it will...

Comm is my neighbor's son. He was a cool dude before I saw him watching RL on his phone, but now? He's one of my much better friends. Haven't met his son but it's nice to have somebody to watch and talk about the season with.
