Just finished reading the book. It too escalates rather quickly, I couldn’t stop reading. Finished in two library sessions. I’m excited to see the show. Edit: I agree, the show did show their cards way early. 1st episodes dialogue was kinda cringe, way to exact as the book. I’m finding it kinda hard to keep watching.

Was this any good? I'm considering watching it but wondering if it's worth it. Reviews say season 1 was great but season 2 was terrible. This looks like a cross between Stephen King and H.P.. Lovecraft to me so I'm intrigued.

@@jbro4400 I've watched about 3 episodes and quit. Idk, it doesn't have as good atmosphere as the book. And they changed a lot of things. You can give it a try, but I definitely rather recommend the books

But I watched a Special on RUBY RIDGE and I still don't understand why Randy Weaver thought he could steal gemstones (some of the biggest rubies and diamonds) from the Kennedy's and Disney's diamond fields, that they had perfectly disguised as potatoe fields in Idaho. Randy Weaver supposedly never knew about all the gemstones in Idaho and Randy thought he was rich enough to kill the Pope and The President. I think the Kennedy's got a coal mine or more in Appalachia - YOU CAN GET HURT JUST TRYING STEAL FROM THEM COAL MINES. Years ago Jockey's from Kentucky left to Idaho to easily pick gemstones from caves, IT WAS DISNEY'S PLAN TO HELP THE MINORITY (LIL VOTERS) While we out here on the east side more then half a century ago we only had Gold Certificate and Silver certificate Dollar Bill's (BACKED WITH GOLD OR SILVER) IN IDAHO THEY HAD DIAMOND CERTIFICATES- AND COAL MINERS IN APPALACHIA AT THE KENNEDY'S MINES THEY ONLY HAD *MINING CAMP TOKENS ..* it's still no reason to believe you dont need the government or the laws that you can just pick gemstones from neighbors yards on ruby ridge and sell them on AMAZON (WITH BILL GATES) NEVER NEEDING TO LEAVE THE HOUSE BECAUSE YOUR SUPER RICH AND CAN EVERYTHING SENT IN.. I've said this so many times before about other movies and I have to say it about this one, I'm at season 1 eps 5 so far and like...why is it that almost every movie I watch the main character's teenage kid(s) always do the dumbest/weirdest shit? like the movies purposely put a teenage kid in there for that specific reason. And I always notice that especially in these types of survival movies the kid always has a problem with or hates atleast 1 or both of the parents that makes them just not listen to clear instructions even when they're trying to protect them. Like hardly any of these movies has kids that have healthy relationships with their parents. 1) they just got to this town and the sheriff just tried to kill them the night before but his father killed the sheriff instead (bare in mind that he witnessed it) They get a note and school uniform out of nowhere saying he should go to school the next day even though they just arrived and he didnt even sign up for the school or anything. He goes the next day and his mom says she would pick him up after school but noooooo he sees a girl and all his "teenage" hormones kick in and he legit leaves the school with this girl dispite all the weird shit he has been experiencing in this weird town. But I mean that's totally normal right?! He doesn't even think "well when my mom comes and doesn't see me she is going to be so worried especially since WE JUST ENDED UP IN THIS TOWN AND KILLED A SHERIFF!!! 2) he has only known this girl for legit prolly 10 minutes after his mom found him and took him home. And this girl shows up at his house in the night and shows him some bench in some woods or whatever and when they get back to his house they KISS. LIKE WHAT??? That makes 0 sense whatsoever I can't even be mad at the show cuz legit all of them has teenage kids making the weirdest decisions look normal so I should be used to it by now but my gosh it's so annoying.

The timeline sequences are shown out of order. The scenes shown in 2014 are before they all went to sleep at the end of the year before waking up in 4014.

My favorite is the role of C.Ja and Doctor Jedlin. All others are so-so. Yes, and the role of a wild woman in a cage smarter than people 2? times. A telepath apparently. Then why are claws and teeth snapping. And Mrs. Jedlin could at least learn English better, because her tongue gets stuck. I don't believe in the possibility of Wayward Pines and surviving in the hibernaculum of the year 2000. There will remain a few hundred million people who will return to the stone or iron age. Children will not know what a computer or mobile phone is, how to explain it to them. It happened before and it will happen again for sure. Yes C.J. has earned the highest TV awards for his role as well as the actor Jason who plays Dr. Jadlin.🎉 Blood does not flow from a dead body. The heart stops, there is no leakage. He can drag it for a while to smear the blood. That's a mistake in a lot of movies.

My review of season #1: CONTAINS SPOILER INFO, BE WARNED! I was expecting a lot from what I had read & seen. I liked the story until episode #6. Then, I got to know what was on the other side of the big wall. I would have liked some kind of animal or something similar. The mutated humans did ruin it a bit for me. I thought it was stupid a little. Still managed to keep watching. Good thing we did not see them that much after that. The last episode, #10, sadly was the worse. A couple of nonsense moments. Predictable ones, Cheesy lines. I was disappointed a bit. I love Carla Gugino thought. Lovely woman. Matt Dillon wasn't bad either. Not big roles, but still. An ok series, if you like this genre. I'll give season #2 a try for sure & hope for better content.
