OH my, that sounds SO good!!! I'm going to make this for gifts this year, and of course some for me too 😍 My husband works with a guy who has bees and I was spoiled on his wonderful honey but he lost all his bees last winter so this year I've had to go with the organic from the store, which is good too, I can't wait to make this! I did the garlic cloves in honey this year too! Thank you for sharing the recipe 💜

Thank you Carmen 💜 Too bad about your honey source…So far I haven’t found anyone local with honey bees so I’ve been buying the Costco organic. Just don’t boil it as ferociously as I did 😳 A gentle boil for 2 minutes

Good morning! I can only imagine how wonderful that must smell and taste. I'm sure I would love it, but being diabetic I better not. I agree it would make wonderful gifts, so I might do that. 😉 Thanks for sharing your awesome ideas with all of us! Blessings to both of you! 💙💙💙

Thanks Carolyn 💜 So sorry you can’t enjoy these sweet things. I have a sweet tooth so I would be a very grumpy diabetic 😬 Blessings to you too 🙏

I bet your whole house smells delicious. BTW, I bought a turnip today. I will cook it tomorrow to see how I like it. Do I peel it? Ty for another recipe. Blessings friend 😊

Thanks Sally 💜 Yes, cut off each end of the turnip and peel it. Hope you like it 🤞

Love the cloves!! Are you on well water? If so, do you put vinegar in your water bath water to stop the jars from clouding? I have this issue. Thank you!
@JustTheTwoOfUsHomesteadАй бұрын
My apologies for replying so late. Yes, I’m on well water and I always have to add vinegar too! I’ve only forgotten to do it once (so far 😉)

Thank you! I’m definitely making this. I would like to buy the cookbook the recipe came from. Can you tell me the name? Once again thank you!
Sounds yummy. the boiling of the honey destroys all the benefits, but I’m sure it still tastes great and feels good going down by the spoonful!
@JustTheTwoOfUsHomesteadАй бұрын
Thanks! As I mentioned in the video I over boiled it but it really meant to just “feel good going down” as you said 😋

By WB canning it you killed all the medicinal properties of it. That's why "raw" unpasteurized (unheated) honey is always recommended. Honey will keep indefinitely in a clean airtight jar no need to can.

Thank you, i understand about the benefits of not canning it but this is a “treat or something special)”

How else can you infuse the honey if not heating it?
@JustTheTwoOfUsHomesteadАй бұрын
Perhaps there’s a difference between heating it (warming it) and boiling it in the canner 🤷🏻♀️ Either way I’m not concerned…it’s not a meal replacement etc, it’s a tsp or two at at a time to soothe or treat yourself. Thanks 💜
