Thank you Ms.Lori for showing this. I plan to make the honey lemon and ginger ferment and I thought that this would taste great as a shrub as well. I have a collection of shrubs. This way I don't drink soda's. Plus it's better for you. I grew turmeric this year. I planted some ginger late. I'll bring it in the house when it begins to get cold.

It’s good to get the fermenting started now so it’s ready when you need it. We grow mullein and I have tincture made, plus Ive made the mullein ear drops for ear pain. I'm learning so much from you. Did you learn to ferment as a child, or when you were grown? My childhood self didn't even know about home fermenting. My husband's grandmother made crockpot pickles and sometimes, sauerkraut. But alas, that was before I knew her. When I took a fermenting course at the Folk Center in Mt. View, Arkansas, most people thought I was taking a course in beer making for crying out loud. I have learned now that about anything can be fermented for eating. I will definitely be making this recipe. Looks like a very useful and even necessary thing to keep. Thanks!!

It really helped. Also I made an oregano tincture with vodka and it also sit a month, boy it worked as well with chest congestion.

Thank you for this useful information! This will be my second season making fire cider and this looks like a wonderful addition to my winter arsenal. Please Miss Laurie, can I use a slice of lemon and some ginger in my cup of tea? Thank you and prayers up for your grand daughter Mackenzie! Blessings 🍁❤️🍁

I leaned on KZbin you can wash a couple of grapefruit skins and lemon skins and then peel or cut the skins off the fruit. I stick mine in an enameled lined Dutch oven and cover with filtered and boiled water and I simmer the skins for aaabout two hours starting at 350 then I lower the temp to 265. I let it coll down with the lid on on the stove top then store it in clean manson jars in the back of my fridge . Any sign of feeling poorly I pore about half a cup of it into very warm water and hadd honey and sip. Wishing you both excellent health.

I've never thought of fermenting it before. The way my mom always made it, we heat up the honey with the lemon and ginger either on the stovetop or in the microwave until the lemon and ginger kind of become cooked and candied. Then the lemon and ginger can be eaten too along with the honey.

If that's the stuff they sell at H-Mart and Costco, it goes great as a salmon glaze. Makes for an easy dinner with rice when you're sick.

We love you big, so don’t think I’m stupid, I didn’t get the understanding you said some people leave their LGH, for two weeks,, ???? What does that mean?do you strain yours? Just tell me like you would do it.. if you are going to do a lot more do you put all of them in your refrigerator? Do you strain all of them? I get really sore throat’s and need to know,. Thanks a million and God bless you and the family

Not a stupid question at all. Seeking wisdom in knowing how to use this is actually a good thing. Blessings! So many of us love Miss Lori and Mr.Brown. They are good folks!
