I am one of those who started cheering in support of women in skateboarding and the 1st ever WBATB. Even went as far as to defend the girls from pieces of crap hating on their skills in the comments lol ..BUT after some time went by it became very difficult to support cause I felt I wasn't watching The Berrics but a circus or a BATB wanna be. 1. Some girls didn't seem all that into it and you can tell that in their skating. 2. Some "refs" were just clueless on crucial calls or didn't know something as simple as a re-do. 3. The horrible live feed angle smh, like whoever thought that was a good idea? It wasn't. 4. The super late upload of actual battles, seriously guys there wasn't much to edit, even tricks names weren't included. 5. Two girls advanced to the finals even though they had been beaten already and rightfully so. 6. Finally my favorite I found out who the winner was BEFORE the last battle [if you can call it that] was even uploaded which overall made the whole tournament somewhat of a JOKE and very much UNORGANIZED. Also, Monica didn't deserve to win, she wasn't even close to the best skater in the roster. I really hope all those things will improve for WBATB 2

I feel like some of you didn't watch the entire competition, or else you wouldn't be so quick to run your disrespectful mouths. Alexis said at the beginning that she sprained her ankle badly before it all started, and despite that, her run up to the finals was sick. These women have been skating for years and have mad skills, and I'm sure if any of you entered a contest with their experience and washed out for whatever reason you wouldn't wanna hear a crowd talking bad about you. I swear, having the ability to type anonymously on the internet reveals what's really inside some of y'all. I'm just glad that most of these skaters have thick skin, cause what really disappoints me about this BATB is the comments.
