Yeah, whatever. Raven can't shoot. She misses wide-open shots and has done so since the title game against Iowa, when CC waived her off because she was such a poor shooter. Two years later, and she is no different. If Raven wants to play at the next level, she needs to improve her shooting and other areas of her game.

That was the most intense play I have seen from SC all year, On both sides of the ball. They played hard for the full 40 minutes, something they have not done so far all year either. Usually when they get a big lead they let up and the other team usually had a huge comeback, but bot today. Hopefully they can keep that going.

You are correct. First game all year they played hard the full 40 minutes. The goal should be to play EVERY game like this, because trying to turn it off and on is a dangerous game that usually eventually backfires. UCLA was a wakeup call. We will see if this level of effort becomes routine. Ahdel Tac at 6'5" has got to get off her "garbage time" training wheels and make meaningful mid-game contributions in big games. If she's healthy enough to be on the floor then she needs to be thrown into the fire to play....all the training wheels stuff will make useless come March.. Texas showed SC's weakness against top teams will be rebounding and post scoring. 5-star Tac and/or 6' 5" Walker need to produce.

I think that one loss woke them up. They knew they couldn’t start slow and then struggle to catch up. That loss was the best thing to happen to this team.

Gotta clean up the turnovers. We were very fortunate that they only shot 27.8% from the floor. It wasn't just our defense - they missed a lot of easy shots. That said, the efficiency that helped overcome the sloppy play was great to watch.

@@LifeAsQuay I know they are usually better controlling the ball, but this is the second game with 22 TO this season. That's wayyyyyy too many. If Texas didn't have 30 shots get blocked by the front of the rim - and a few of them actually found their way into the bucket, this game has a different look to it. TOs are going to happen - I get it - but 22 is so far outside of the standards, it is unacceptable.

Defensive rebounding has to get. Boxing out is one thing but getting off the floor and going to get it is another. Fortunate today because in my eyes Texas big bodies will be something serious down the stretch.

I think that UCLA game and having the pressure of the winning streak alleviated may have been the “wake up call” that the Cocks needed to find that higher, championship plateau that they’ll need to reach to win it all this year. Oh, and I absolutely adore Coach Staley. Go Cocks!!! ❤️🏀

We got lucky with this one even though the score and the overall optics of the game doesn't reflect it. We gave up 20 offensive boards and had 22 turnovers!!! Yes, we won, but this could've been real ugly had Texas played the way they've been playing up until today!!

I feel like they get these big leads and then just take their foot off the gas pedal. Texas a&M scored 22 points in the 4th ( only like 10 max the previous) and Texas scored 20. They’re going to blow their huge leads if they don’t play smarter at the end of games.
